We will be traveling to Disney 11/22 to 11/29/14 as a family of 4 (two teens) and wondering with the crowds if Park Hoppers would be worth it. We have ADR in the parks we plan on attending but curious. I am afraid with the high crowds and sitting down to dinner in each park it may not we worth to try to move around since shorter hours in the winter. In the summer we normally do the hopper but with the heat we normally go back for a swim and in November we will not be doing this. This will be our first holiday visit so any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are staying on Disney Property and want to take advantage of Early Extra Magic Hours, then you might want to "hop" to a slightly quieter park later in the day when the numbers build up. Though at Thanksgiving it's going to be pretty busy everywhere as the holiday approaches.

Enjoy your trip.

Cheers Larry.

I would never even consider going during such a busy time without park hoppers. The flexibility that the afford is a must.

Sending you a PM.

We have been on several Thanksgiving week trips & we always hop. We do rope drop, take a break for a nap, or swimming if weather permits, then go back to the parks. This allows us to hop away from crowds, and still get the most out of our trip.
Enjoy!

For those who have traveled over thanksgiving...when do the crowds start coming in? We are getting there 11/21 and leaving on thanksgiving

Some of the best advice I ever got on these boards:

Don't add the hopper until you know you're going to use it! It's easy to add this option at the parks when you decide to hop. That way, if you don't need it, you save the cash.

This tip has saved me money for our past 3 trips.

Even at a busy time like Thanksgiving (same time I'm going!), I would wait and see if you need/want it once you're there.
