I was decided that I would get the park hopper pluss. My plan was tho go to the water park one day and the sports thing(sorry cant remember the name). I have a 3 year old who it terrified of water and a 6 year old that isn't a swimmer and isn't realy intrested in sports. Is it worth it. We are going in July for 7 nights. We live in wisconsin and only live a couple hours from Wisconsin Dells. If anyone has ever been to both Disney water parks and Wisconsin Dells how do the compare? One more question. What exactly is there to do at the sports complex? I couldn't find much on the Disney Website. Thanks so much for any help.:bounce:

I went to Typhoon Lagoon last April. My 4 year old DD wasn't much of a swim then. She enjoyed the floating tubes. These meandered around the water park. I called it the "Lazy River" but I don't think that's the official name. I've never been to the Wisconson Dells so I can't compare them. You might be better off getting just the park hopper and spending the day at DTD. My kids (4 & 7) loved playing in the fountains. You didn't say if you were staying inside Disney. The pools at the resorts are nice. There was a children's wading pool at the Boardwalk Villa that was nice.

We are staying on site at the Carribean. How about the Sports Complex is there alot to see there? Thanks STacy

The Dells are mostly water and amusement parks. There is no comparison as WDW does not have an amusement park. These are elaborate theme parks that are huge (for example, it is more than a mile from one end of Epcot to the other). They are primarily based on unigue sight and sound attractions with some thrill rides. Think of any amusement park you have been to at the Dells -- total cost of putting it up is probably $40 million or less; Animal Kingdom cost $850 million. It takes more than a day to completely do any one WDW park. In fact with the kids the age of yours you may find yourself going to MK 3 days. You are a candidate for the 6 day or 7 day hopper but those only come in the "plus" fashion that includes waterparks. You could buy a 5 day without the "plus" but I would bet you will be in the parks every full day (6) you are there particularly if this is your first trip.

As to Wide World of Sports, I recommend skipping it because unless you are going there for a special event there really isn't anything to do there.

Thank You, I think your probably right. I'll probably just stick to the main parks and skip the water parks and sports complex. A trip to a the beach or pool is chalenging enough with my children. Thanks again these board are great.
