I don't understand the "Plus" feature of the Park Hopper.

If I buy a 5 Day Park Hopper Plus that includes 2 "Plus" options. Can I use the "Plus" options on days that I am NOT at the parks.

Are they good forever like the park hopper part?

We have never been to the water parks, and it looks like by adding the plus features it would be cheaper than paying to go to the water parks by themselves.

Thanks! I am still learning about the Wonderful World of Disney!

Plus feature usage it totally independent of the theme park admission portion of the passes. The Pluses also do not expire.

DJ,

Yes, you can use the plus features on a day you don't go to one of the major parks. The plusses do not expire. Also, be aware that although you can hop between the major parks as often as you wish in one day and only use up one day of the hopper, the plus features are different. If you wanted to go to 2 water parks (or a water park and Pleasure Island) in one day, you would use up 2 separate plus features. You cannot hop between venues (even on the same day) using only one plus feature. Hope this makes sense! :D

Be sure and do a little research as to how much you and your family will actually use the "plus" items.
We tried the PHP passes once and then found that it was a pain to get to the additional sites just to make them worthwhile. What we learned is that we are basically a 4-Park family!! The time of year we go (June/July) means thunderstorms pop up unexpectedly so we've had to vacate the water parks with no notice and that wasted time; plus we just aren't users of the Wide World complex and the other features of the PHP.

I'm certainly not against them--just learned the hard way that the added features are not for everyone.

Another spin for you may be to purchase an annual pass instead of a PH if you are going to be in WDW for an extended single stay. I'm pretty sure this year I'll buy one AP in order to get the resort discount even though we only go once a year (but for 9 days). It works out cheaper than to do a 5 day PH plus a 4 day PH for each of us.
I learn something new every trip!!

What's the difference between Ultimate Park Hopper, Park Hopper Plus, and Park Hopper? I know the Ultimate expires when you leave, but Plus does not. Does Park Hopper expire? They all seem so similar and I don't get their differences!

Regular Park Hopper passes and Park Hopper Plus passes do not expire, except for some passes obtained from non-Disney sources as promotions such as at time share presentations.

Regular park hopper passes have no waterpark or Pleasure Island etc. admissions.

Ultimate park hopper is only available together with resort rooms and lasts from check in desk arrival until midnight after check out. Ultimate park hopper also has Disney Quest admission which Park Hopper Plus does not.

If a water park closes due to rain and you haven't been there very long, you get a raincheck which is essentially a replacement single admission.

If you plan to go to Pleasure Island two or more times in a six day span, it is cheaper to buy a single ticket with the five dollars more option (offered most days of theyear) rather than use a hopper plus pass assuming you do go into water parks.
