I have 5 day Park Hopper tickets with the water park and more option linked to my MDE account for my family. We are going to be staying at Wilderness Lodge for 4 nights in June checking in on a Sunday. Question is: we will be arriving in the area Saturday afternoon and spending one night off sight by Disney Springs. Can we use our magic bands with the tickets attached at either Typhoon Lagoon or DisneyQuest on Saturday before we use them in an actual park on Sunday?

Yes. Magic Bands don't need to be activated.

But, if the tickets were purchase as part of your Wilderness Lodge package,
you must go to any guest relations to "activate" the tickets so you can use them before you check in.

Stand-alone purchased tickets don't need to be activated.

Yes, The magic bands can realistically be used when ever you get them if you have tickets and stuff linked. Doesn't matter if you aren't staying on site

Thanks! They are stand alone tickets. Another dumb question. As I understand it, when I use them at the water park that essentially "activates" the tickets and I have to use them or lose them within 14 days, but does this use one of the five days?
**Edit**I guess that's kind of a dumb question. If I use the tickets then I'm guessing that it's fairly obvious that 1 day would be used.

My understanding is only your waterpark option would be used, not your park tickets

1. Yes.
2. Yes. (Once you use ANY asset of a ticket, that begins the 14-day countdown to expiration.)
3. No.
4. No, it's not dumb, because you are making the wrong assumption.
5. That is not correct.

When you use a "day" on the ticket, that refers only to THEME PARK usage.

When you use a Water Park Fun and More admission, it does not deduct a "day" from the THEME PARK tickets.
It only deducts one of the WPF&M options.

THEME PARK admission and WPF&M admission are two separate things and using one does not affect the other
(except for the "14-days to expiration" rule I explained in #2 above.)
