Hi.

We are doing a spur of the moment trip and just booked yesterday for
September 15-20, 2020.

I understand going to a park on a weekend is considerably more crowded than a weekday and wanted to ask anyone that has been what would you do:

Tuesday, September 15 - Arrive
Wednesday, September 16 - Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom
Thursday, September 17 - Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom
Friday, September 18 - Rest stay by pool at BWVs
Saturday, September 19 - Epcot
Sunday, September 20 - Depart

We like our last full day at Disney to be a park, so I choose Epcot for Saturday thinking it will be the best for crowds.

However, what day (Wednesday or Thursday) should I do MK and AK?

Thank you!

I’m not sure it makes much of a difference. MK will be more crowded than AK both days. We like to start our trips with MK, so I’d vote for MK Wednesday and AK Thursday.

IMHO, Saturday will be the worst day to do EPCOT.

Honestly I would do MK and EPCOT during the week and AK on Saturday. AK is consistently one of the least-crowded parks, especially on the weekends, but a lot of locals/APs do MK on weekends and a lot of locals come "drink around the world" on weekends too. While everything will be more crowded on a Saturday than on a Wed/Thurs, AK would still be your best bet for distance and lower wait times I think.

Thank you. Your post makes a lot of sense maybe I will do what you suggest. However, we really wanted to ride FoP a couple of times but the bottom line is less crowds.

Would it matter what day MK and Epcot given what I wrote above?

Expect crowds Saturday at Epcot. A lot of locals visit for the Food & Wine Festival and to drink around the world.
Yes, I expect it to be crowded but is it the best park for a Saturday?

I don't think so. Some people like to start with MK, so if that matters to you you can plan accordingly.

From what I've heard (though not personally experienced), even on weekends you can still ride FoP several times, just maybe not the loop-for-an-hour way that people have reported on weekdays.

I would like to purchase and make the park reservations today/this week and double checking I should do Animal Kingdom on a Saturday instead of Epcot for next week, September 15-20.

Thank you all!

Can anyone else give their opinion if they agree I should do AK on a Saturday instead of Epcot on a Saturday for
September 19? I need to purchase my tickets but I'm having a hard time choosing and pulling the trigger since
AK is such a smaller park but will book on a Saturday if it really is the best option of the two.

Thank you so much!

Last time I was at Epcot on a Saturday during the Food and Wine….I swore never again.

Like what everyone stated. Do AK on Saturday. That's what we will be doing on the 19th.

PS staying at BWV too.

I guess we will see you on the Boardwalk!

Leaving my dh at home and going with my mom. We canceled our trip in April for September 10-19, when we usually go, but then just last Friday decided with the parks so empty we are going to give it a try.

I guess we will see you at AK too LOL
We are doing MK on September 16, Epcot I guess on September 17 and AK on September 19.
Now I will purchase the tickets LOL
Thank you for the kick in the butt!

It's mom and I also. Good call on dropping EPCOT on Saturday!

I'll be at AK on 9/19 too, celebrating my mom's 70th birthday.

Wow! All with our moms!

My mom just retired after 40 years of being a nurse. It took the pandemic for her to say no more and no longer work in the hospital! We celebrated in LBI last month with all our families and my sister’s family and now just my mom in me in Disney.

We just booked on Friday and I really wanted Beaches and Cream our first night and Topolinos any night but still no luck.

See you all at AK and BWVs lol
