This may seem like a silly question but even with reading descriptions of MNSSHP on several sites I still don't grasp whether or not park admission is required with the party ticket. I'm guessing, duh, yeah separate admission is required but am not TOTALLY sure as the party ticket is pretty pricey.

Can anyone tell me? Thanks!

Yes, park admission is required. We are hoping to get down this year. Heard it is a lot of fun!!

You do not have to purchase any additional tickets to attend MNSSHP. It would be WAY too expensive if you had to burn a day on a park hopper or something in addition to the Party ticket.
I agree it is a little pricey but it has been a lot of fun the last few times we have done it!
Just make sure you are there at starting time so you can soak it all up and get the most out of it!
Good luck

MNSSHP is a hard ticket event....Which means you purchase a separate ticket to be admitted to the event and you do not need to use one of your park days if you don't wish to go to the park during that day

we have done this twice and it is one of our favorite things to do....

Last year you could be admitted with just your MNSSHP ticket after 4:00pm even though the party officially started at 7:00pm.

Ah, now this looks like a better deal... Thanks so much for the replies. I really wanted to try to do the party anyway, but couldn't figure out the deal!

If we can swing it I would really like to take my boys ages 5 and 7. The 5-yr-old is a Halloween NUT--begins planning his costume the day after Halloween--and moreover, he thinks he wants to be the Sorceror's Apprentice! (He already has the hat) Sounds like a great year to go!

Thanks again y'all--

The only thing that you need is your MNSSHP ticket to get into the park for the night session. But, Diffently go. This was the highlight of our trip. I wrote alot about it on a different thread. With kids that age make sure you get there early and head directly to fantasyland to get those rides in before it fills up. Have a great time.

jtjarvis..
sorry for the wrong info on my previous post. Got the wrong info from a "friend" who went last year.
I immediately called her up and thanked her for making me look like an idiot on the DIS!LOL:crazy:

Thanks guys --

And no problem, shelleybell! It's confusing to keep track of all the various policies!

jtjarvis -

Just wanted to add that this would be my advice, based on what we did last year -

I would get to the MK around 4:30 and ride some of the rides - I would also, in conjunction with buying my tickets to MNSSHP book a PS at LTT where the characters and wait staff are in costume and or have face makeup, etc... It really adds to the evening to do this, and it gets dinner out of the way - make your PS for an earlier time - and if possible NO LATER than 6:00, because when the party starts at 7:00 you want to be through with dinner and ready to do the party.

If your kids are not big trick-or-treaters, this is where you will "waste" the most time - so skip it unless the lines are short and instead, spend your time soaking in the atmosphere and doing the "special" things like the parade, etc...

I would also advise being in Liberty Square for the parade to see the headless horseman and to hear the Tale of Ichabod Crane.

Hope this helps!

That sounds perfect for our family-- and I've been wanting to try out LTT too. I appreciate your input!:hyper:

Generally I've heard that second "showings" are less crowded, Fantasmic for example. Does anyone know if the second parade is much less crowded than the first? Do you have trouble keeping the little ones up so late?
