It is a magic cure all. We might be needing it in the days to come as looks like Josh might be getting chicken pox. We have been counting spots tonight and not sure if we missed some earlier or there is more. Will check again the morning as he has just gone to bed.
Kinda hoping it's not chicken pox but time will tell, I have known some kids get it mild while other are scarred for life, lets hope it is mild if he does have it.
Yes i am from the north east but slightly more maccam than you.

Thanks for the tip, we will just have to see what today brings. He seems fine this morning and no more spots, going to try to ring the doctor to see what he says.
My DD hated calpol - she could even manage to bring it up after she'd had a bottle of milk without bringing up the milk too. (must have been the colour/flavour as she was OK with banana flavoured Disprol)
Paracetomol is a more powerful drug than most people give it credit for. It masks the symptoms of colds and flu very well and even gives me a bit of a "high"
It's sad though, the number of children that we send home from school at lunchtimes because they're ill. When they are collected mum often says "he was a bit off colour this morning, but he seemed OK after he'd had some Calpol." - erm, that's because the Calpol masked his symptoms and now 4 hours later it's worn off but at least he's had time to spread his germs around the school. (Sorry one of my pet rants)
DD is on anti-biotics at the moment and she won't take them without a fight, because of the way they taste, she said "it's not as nice as calpol" surely they aren't supposed to think calpol is nice!!??!
