Parents' Opinions Needed: Leggings in Parks?

I hope I'm posting this in the right place!

I'm going to Disney this Sunday, and am now finally packing. I just wanted to ask the parents' opinions on this one: how do you feel about wearing leggings in parks? I'm 19 and quite tall and skinny, and currently like wearing tight leggings of various colors as pants, with long tees or tanks of course. I know this may seem a funny question to ask, but I was just wondering what most parents think of this trend: do you find this offensive, or acceptable? Has anyone seen this style being worn in the parks as of late?

While I normally wear this at home, I know I will be exposed to many more children and families while in the parks and really don't want to offend anyone with what some may see as an inappropriate outfit. Keep in mind this is not skin-bearing or such, it is just tighter than normal pants/jeans and more form-fitting.

Any advice/opinions would be appreciated! :thumbsup2

My kids are all under 10, but I teach HS. I know just the look you mean.

As long as the tank covers your... tush... I would say it's fine. (NOt that I've been to the park since the year you were born, but still.)

Of course, you'll want comfortable shoes with them.

And, on behalf of all the moms who will be in the park, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for asking!!!

As long as your tush and adjacent anatomy is completely covered (including when getting into or out of a ride), I doubt that anyone would have an objection. Leggings and a long shirt is way better than the lowrider look IMO.

Growing up in the 80's, I LIVED in leggings!!! :rotfl2:

I agree, as long as the shirts are long and cover to mid thigh, you are more decently covered than the mid-drift bearing low-riders, esp,. when they are paired with the short tees. :rolleyes1

I think that it is great that you are concerned about what may be considered inappropriate or offensive to those of us with children. I am sure you will know what is best for you to wear. I think you are an impressive young women. Lori

If I still had the body I had the last time this was the style, I'd be wearing them again too! :rotfl2:
So long as your top is long enough, you should be fine!;)

Just a kind suggestion (since you are tall): If the shirts don't reach mid-thigh, maybe wear a skirt (or even a mini skirt) w/ the leggings. Then you would be sure that your bottom is covered.

I love my leggings. However, I do not have your body and I would not be caught outside my house w/ them on. But, boy are they comfy. Last year I was able to wear them to work under my skirts.:thumbsup2

I agree with the previous posters - as long as your shirt is long enough or you choose to wear a skirt with them then I say go for it!
