Dd asked about the honors college when we toured the college she is going to. She had received an invitation to apply. It said she would have more scholarships available, but when we asked the head of her department of her major, he said they had only had one student that attended the honors college. Her major takes too much of her time and its almost impossible to do honors college or play a sport. I had assumed she would play golf, but she is now not planning on playing. All I see is more money, more money!
I think her brothers are on their way to becoming professional students, so I need someone to get more scholarship money!

Here's hoping that the schools feel that her talent is as good as her academics.
On an upbeat...we got another letter that DD is getting more scholarship money from OU...enough to pay for books!! Thank goodness! Now she just has to fill out the freshmen scholarships when they come up!
Oh and apparently many of them were deferred, not outright rejected.
