Quite sure they've settled out of court ...
Quite sure they've settled out of court ...
Not sure why the question in the thread title.
They aren't suing. Period. They lost their darling little boy. I wish them healing in the years ahead, and I really am not interested in any gossip or speculation about them.
Saw the edit, edited my post, too.I wish them nothing but peace.
They have a long battle ahead. No amount of money would make the suffering easier.
Knowing the business side though I would be shocked if Disney didn't come up with a large sum, a NDA, and an agreement that this would not reach the courts. That sums is probably above and beyond what they would have ever actually seen out of a long drawn out court case. Much easier to bury their son and start healing then it is to have to relive the fact of his death over and over and over in court while the many appeals go through.
I think they've made a wise decision. Turning this into a protracted media circus can only exacerbate their pain, and they have another child they need to focus on.
I wish them all the best, moving forward.
I hope Disney did right by them. Suing would only drag things out and make it harder for them to attempt to put a life together moving forward. It's probably best for their health and their family. No amount of money will ease their pain.
Most cases settle out of court. It's a process that can end anywhere along the way, and settling sooner rather than later can mean that the aggrieved parties end up with more money than if more has to paid out in fees along the way.
Yea, I dunno. I've known some attorneys that worked very hard to help clients through terribly sad and troubled times. More specific to this case, there is no upside in the loss of a child for anyone. No winners. It's true, the only winners in cases like this one are the lawyers.
