Paradise Point shore excursion

Hello! Has anyone done the Paradise Point Tramway shore excursion? I was reading the description on the DU site, and it says its only an hour? Is that true? I also saw the option to walk back to the pier/ship instead of leaving on the bus provided. Im assuming the bus leaves after an hour, and that's why the short time limit? I'd really like to do this shore excursion on my next cruise, and would love some more info. Thank you!!

No need to book through DCL. It's a very short walk from the pier and you can just pay at the tramway stop. You can spend as little or as much time at the top as you like. There's shopping and a good restaurant/bar. The view is amazing!!!

Also, the Disney excursion doesn't have a bus. You walk from the ship. It's not a scheduled, everyone meets kind of thing. It's a ticket to be used at your leisure.

Totally agree with the responses - it is literally within view of the pier and no need to book through Disney. Just go on your own when you want.

We're planning to do that in Feb when we are there on the Fantasy. Been to St. Thomas a least a half dozen times, and have run out of things to do. Decided the other day just to walk over and ride up and down and have a few drinks at the top. Last time we were in St. Thomas, we had the kids with us, and babysit their kids so they could go and explore. After their morning excursions, they stopped back at the cabins to change to dry cloths and walked down the pier to Senior Frogs for a few hours. It made for a long day, watching three little boys 11 months, 5 years and 3 years old, but I guess I wouldn't trade it....
