Paradise Island Redux...

I know, it's ben answered 100+ times.
But need to know the following

1. How much is a cab from Paradise Island to the ship?
How long is the ride?

2. Has anyone ever been able to book a room on the spot at either the Atlantis or Comfort? Was it more $$$$ than internet posted rates? Dis anyone get a better deal from a Travel agent?

i think it is four bucks one way plus the toll from the ship to Paradise Island. It shouldn't take but about ten minutes one way, i believe.

Kathy, my friend booked a room at Atlantis, and said it was about thirty bucks more than comfort suites. I think she got it for a rate of $210.00.

In addition to the $4/pp each way, there is a toll for the bridge to Paradise Island. This is supposed to be included in the fare, although some drivers take a collection of sorts for that purpose.

remember that there are many different buildings at the atlantis, all with different rates...
if i were you, i'd call Atlantis and ask for the rates for the day you're there....then check on line (the atlantis site, expedia, etc)...
and if you have a travel agent, ask them as well...

also, if you do take a room at atlantis, when you check -in ask for express check out if they have it....
the front desk had the longest line i'd ever seen......if there's a way to avoid that when you're checking out it would be a good thing...

finally, someone posted a few months ago that they got a gamblers rate when they were there....if you're a gambler you might want to check into that....
