Parade viewing area near Small World

We normally watch the parade at that tiered area just across from IASW. I understand that the princesses have been temporarily relocated to that area. Are they there all day or do they leave for a break during the day? Just wondering if we can still sit there to watch the parade on our upcoming trip.

You are allowed to sit there, just not on the steps. The Princess' leave durning the parade and come back I believe 15 to 30 minutes after the parade. The Princess' are also on 45 minute intervals, so they change them out 45 minutes at a time. Than 3 different ones come out and it goes into a cycle.

We ended up watching the parade again one of our days right from that tiered area as we were trying to get over to Toontown but forgot about the parade and couldn't pass. No princesses there. They leave during the parade. How confusing would it be for the little ones if Cinderella was both at the meet/greet and on a float in the street at the same time?!

We can't sit on the steps there? If the princesses are gone during the parade, why wouldn't people be able to sit down?

Do things change in any way since the parade will be 7pm (not afternoon) when we go?

Good point!!! Didn't even think about that!! We think it's a great place to watch the parade. When we didn't get there early enough to secure a spot on ground level, it was nice to be up above the people on the tiered levels.
