Hi Everyone,

I've read your posts about paper-piecing and suggestions to use coloring books, etc. for patterns but I still don't quite understand how to do this (I'm sorry!).

Do you cut each piece out of a different color and then reassemble them? How do you do faces? Or do you color the pieces in with chalk or markers?

I'm really new at this so I really appreciate your help! :goodvibes

Yes, I cut out the pieces in different colors and then reassemble them. For the face, I usually use a black pen to put in the details. If the face is too detailed you could scan it on the computer and print and cut it out if you wanted to.

Thank you SO much, Twigs, for answering my post! Now it makes more sense. I actually bought a coloring book at Downtown Disney last week but wasn't really sure how to do it so I really appreciate your tips!

:goodvibes :yay:

I find that it helps also if you start with a base. I cut the general background shape out of paper and then build. This helps with stability and adds a 3D quality. Pop dots help too.
Have fun and experimenta1

Thanks, Deb! I actually have some of those pop dots - now I just need time to sit down and give it a shot!

Wish me luck!!! :teeth: LOL ;)

Thanks, Deb. I looked at this website and went into the creative garden but I couldn't find anything about Disney. Do I have to be a member to view it?

So sorry for giving you the wrong info.
Thanks Splshmtn99 for straightening this out.
If you go to peanut gallery, then search gallery, then type in disneydreamers in "by username", you will get to see only their work. :thumbsup2
Deb
p.s. disneydreamers are a team of two friends who create these beautiful things for e-bay. They are my favorites and real masters at paper-piecing.
