Has anyone stayed at the PanPacific before? I was thinking of booking it for 2 nights prior to my Vancouver Wonder Cruise

Yes, it is a great hotel and very convenient to the terminal, since the Wonder docks right below it. Bellhops will even take your luggage to the ship on the morning of your sailing.

We loved it there -- stayed for there nights pre-cruise in 2012. The location is great and you can walk down along the water and to Stanley Park. We bought tickets for the hop on hop of bus -- which picked up right in front of the hotel.

The convenience to the port was wonderful. Called bell hop in the morning and took all our luggage except for a couple of carry ons. We just went to the lobby and took the special elevator to the terminal below. If you have AAA, we got a great rate with that.

We too stayed there. As other's have said, it's in the same building as the terminal. It was a 2 minute walk from checkout to checking into hotel

Many people stay there. Seems to me that many people feel it's necessary to stay there pre-cruise. :)

We've never stayed there; too expensive and we know the downtown well enough to know that if need be, it's ALL in walking distance. :)

I stayed there for a week on business a couple years ago, and it was great. Absolutely beautiful views, beautiful hotel, great location. I watched a Disney ship board and leave from my window.

You can't go wrong with this hotel, its great in all aspects!

Staying there for 2 nights in August pre cruise and it wasn't insanely expensive when I booked it (close to a year in advance because I knew it was pride parade weekend and a fireworks wknd.) I'm pretty tolerant of hotel prices and it was less than our two nights post cruise at the Grand Californian. I'm looking forward to the fact that it's right at the port as well as convenient to other key things.

We stayed there for our DCL Alaskan cruise this past August. It's the perfect place to stay for cruises. We also stayed there for 2 nights. We had our luggage picked up in the morning and we didn't see it until we were at our stateroom. It was so convenient to walk down and be at the cruise terminal. I wished other ports I've been to had offered the same.

Plus, if your lucky, you get assigned a great room overlooking the Wonder. It was perfect waking up and looking out to see the Wonder. I would book the Pan Pacific when we cruise to Alaska again.

It's a beautiful hotel. We loved it, super location and super view. Gorgeous rooms and accommodations. A little bit of a splurge but worth it if in budget.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn across from BC Place. They had a free shuttle to the port. We liked it!

I have stayed at the Westin Bayshore, using Starwood points, and the Hampton Inn, using Hilton points. I don't have Pan Pacific points, so I won't be staying there! :teeth:

**Just checked the Pan Pacific for the night before our Princess Pacific Coastal cruise in September. The AAA rate is $619 Canadian (a mere $490.30 US). Um...I'll pass!

What's your cruise date? We can provide better options with availability. Delta, Hampton, and Blue Horizon are popular for cruisers looking for savings.

Unless they don't do it anymore, when we booked (2012) they were running specials -- we got an amazing special for a harbor view in a large two-queen room with AAA for $896 USD for 3 nights. The special was a pay up front with no refund. So we waited until about a month or so before we left to book it so we would be sure we were going (my mother was ill at the time and it was iffy). But for that price it was worth the risk.

I have booked the Pan for under 200 a night through "lMT club" . I have always found them to have the best rates in Vancouver.

I checked Last Minute Travel yesterday for late September, but the Pan Pacific wasn't one of the available hotels.

That's too bad. Sometimes it's offered sometimes it not. I use that website alot for booking hotels in the US and Canada. I haven't found them to offer a great selection in Europe.

Pan Pacific is an excellent hotel and, as others have said, incredibly convenient. It also has a truly outstanding restaurant called Five Sails. A simply fantastic dining experience that we felt rivaled some of the finest restaurants anywhere - on par with Victoria & Albert's, Remy's etc. Not inexpensive, but the fixed course menu with wine pairing, was a great way to begin our vacation before last year's DVC Alaskan cruise and the meal was truly memorable.

Yes, and although the rooms were smaller than we expected- it's location was perfect!
