panic attack while attempting to walk across a bridge this wknd

Its the bridge at Kings & Queens Campground in Maine going across the little pond. Everyone else - from young to old - can walk across, why cant I? I finally got the nerve up to go across w/DS and I panicked! Starting wondering what would happen if I fell off - its single person walking across and I couldnt see the bottom.
Anyone else ever panic with heights? Im fine as long as Im in something (like a cruise ship!)

Yeah, but bridges don't usually bug me, for some reason. Depends on what kind. If it was swinging, that would make me nervous. I can drive over them fine too.

I can't go up steps that you can see through, do you know what I mean? I always think I'm gonna fall through.

Everyone makes fun of me because I LOVE rollercoasters and don't have a problem with them at all. I know they're safe, and you're strapped in. Those swinging pirate ships at amusement parks? Put me in the back rows, and I start shaking. I can't deal.

I'm only scared of BIG bridges like the one crossing from St Ignace to Mackinaw City in Michigan. Two weeks before we were scheduled to cross the bridge (by car) we heard that a small car had been blown by the wind clear OFF the bridge and the woman drowned.
