Pandora update (aerial photos)

These photos have surfaced on a different disney site forum. They show the current construction area for Pandora the avatar expansion at Animal Kingdom. This photo is the most recent available it was taken in November.

This photo shows a side by side of a photo taken in January and the most recent taken in November. Two rides have been confirmed for Pandora that is set to open sometime in 2017.

The large white colored rectangle is supposedly part of the boat ride and the rectangle above it that have the four curves it the Soarin type building that will be the flying banshee ride. That matches the blueprints that have been leaked pretty well.

Update in terms of size of pandora. Some comparison photos were added to wdwmagic forums and showed that you could fit roughly 8 small world rides in the area that will be pandora, it's also similar in size to fantasyland.

Thanks for adding this info over here on the Dis. I definitely watch both sites and find it really interesting how little attention these construction updates seem to get on the Dis. I love these boards and wish the news and rumors board was more active like it is on other sites.

Anyway, back to the actual topic at hand - I can't wait to see what they do with this land. I think it's really going to blow us away once it's open. The flying ride sounds really cool, but honestly, I'm way more excited for the boat ride. I just hope it's not super short. With the amount of land they are using, my guess is we'll be very impressed!

I agree completely I love getting info there and really do find it interesting how little the news and rumors board is used here vs wdwmagic by I guess there is no spirit here
