Pandora charm bracelet. Any deals on charms?

I'm new to this so I'm starting from scratch. This is for a gift and not for myself.

Do the charms ever go on sale?
Do only the charms from the Pandora site fit on the bracelet? If not, where do you get extra charms and beads?

Thanks for any direction you can provide.

Charms do not go on sale. Pandora corporate does not allow them to be discounted. They will sometimes have a "spend $100 get a bracelet free" deal, but it is the $50-ish bracelet that is free.

I know other charms will fit, but I have also seen posts about people getting them stuck, etc. I don't know I that really invalidates any warranty, but that's what people say. I've never read the warranty and only have Pandora charms.

That said, I love my bracelet and wear it almost every day.

Ditto to Soccer Chic about the free bracelet being basically the only way to find a sale.

I did find a discontinued charm on eBay though that was less then retail. But that goes with anything else from eBay, how do you really know if it's not counterfeit?

I only put Pandora charms on my bracelet. I haven't even looked at any other brands to see if they'd fit, not interested. I like to keep it a Pandora bracelet.

While other charms will technically fit on the Pandora bracelet, I only use the Pandora charms since they were made for that bracelet. The warranty doesn't cover damage caused by non-Pandora products. (For some reason, I keep getting an error when I try to do a direct link to the Pandora warranty, but if you Google "Pandora warranty", it's one of the first links that comes up.)

I have bought a few Disney Camilia charms and put them on my Pandora bracelet. I tried them on the bracelet first as some of them didnt thread right. I also was told to put the non Pandora charms on first so they dont get caught in the threading. I take them off when I get my bracelet cleaned at the jewelers. I have not had a problem at all. I also bought a few cheap Disney charms and put them on my bracelet the holes are bigger so there is no issue. I recently bought a Brighton charm and that has a bigger hole so there is no issue with that either.

I know that Pandora 'says' that the charms are never discounted or never on sale.

But I have seen them on Rue La La a couple of times during the year. You can get charms as low as $20! They were most recently on their site last month.

Can't help with Pandora but my preference is Trollbeads, the first company to make this type of bead/bracelet back in 1976. I've been collecting for years, and own multiple bracelets, necklaces, rings etc from them. IMHO, their quality and originality (especially with older designs, like the trolls) can't be beat.
TB does have sales at times throughout the year, many with buying a lock, getting a bracelet free, or buy 3 beads get one free.

The Chamilia charms will fit Pandora and vice-versa. I started with Chamilia because they had the Disney charms. I have both on my bracelet. I also have a few of the Disney beads from Kohls (I think they call theirs Individuality Beads). You can get the best deals on the Kohls beads - order online with a 30% off code when they are on sale. They are sterling and I think their Disney beads are very nice. Some are a bit smaller than Chamilia or Pandora, but still nice.

I have a Pandora bracelet and a charmed memories bracelet. You can put charmed memories charms on Pandora, I like to keep them separate.

I was able to get a few on the Rue la la sale also. I have heard they can take a while to arrive sometimes like 3-4 weeks but I am ok with the wait.

Chamilia had the Disney Muranos on sale this weekend if anyone is still collecting to fill a bracelet.

I have a combination Chamilia/Pandora bracelet. If I ever needed to take my Pandora bracelet in for service, I would simply remove the Chamilia beads.

Wow!! Thanks for the site. I purchased 3 charms for my MIL, 3 for me and 3 for my Mom. Hopefully they will deliver in time.

How often do they have the Pandora Sale? Nothing like feeding my Pandora addiction
