Sorry, recovering from my hell day yesterday which was capped off at my weigh in and being up a pound. That sucked. Onwards and forwards!
Hasn't been a good couple of weeks. Gained a couple of pounds but it's expected because I was out of town last week (when I only exercised once) and haven't done much since Saturday because of my ankle. I did ride the bike yesterday which didn't give me much pain but when I tried to run, I couldn't long at all. My ankle swelled back up so I'm going to lay off running. I have a doc appt on Monday then I head back to the Dallas afterwards because my sis is having her baby on Tuesday.Can you tell I'm excited???
Congrats on the weight loss Tenya! I'll be so happy to see the scales move in the other direction again! I'm heading back to the gym today and will be taking it easy until I get my ankle checked out.
STOP trying to run, give it time!!! I went for a 3 mile run today and leg was fine, so please... be patient.
I am here. Very frustrated with the lack of weight loss. I just keep telling myself it will come.

Happy your leg is fine. It sucks to try to do good for ourselves by exercising and then we mess ourselves up. I know its temporary though and it's good there are other exercises to do in the meantime!

Carmen, please don't push your ankle. Give it plenty of time to heal. Walk in the pool to get the muscle healed and built back up.

Walking can add minutes to your life. This enables you at 85 years old to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $7000 per month.
My grandpa started walking five miles a day when he was 60. Now he's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell he is.
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.
The only reason I would take up walking is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.
I have to walk early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing.
I joined a health club last year .... spent about 400 bucks. Haven't lost a pound. Apparently you have to go there..
Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise', I wash my mouth out with chocolate.
I do have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them.
The advantage of exercising every day is so when you die, they'll say, ....'Well, she looks good doesn't she.'
If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.
I know I got a lot of exercise the last few years, just getting over the hill.
We all get heavier as we get older, because there's a lot more information in our heads. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Every time I start thinking too much about how I look, I just find a Happy Hour, and by the time I leave, I look just fine.
I weighed in yesterday and was down another 1.5 pounds. Almost to 10 pounds. I'm feeling really good right now, my stomach is where the weight seems to be leaving from, which is good. I'm hopeful that by the cruise I will be a skinny me again!![]()
I really do not understand what I am doing wrong.I am up another pound today. Last week I exercised 5 times and each time was either an hour or almost an hour. I have watched what I eat.
I started keeping track of what I eat, when I first started struggling. I remember the first time I tried to lose weight it was several monthes before I saw the scale drop, but at least I saw my clothes fitting and the body measurements go down. Nothing here!!
I am using my heart monitor to gauge my workout. I like techy geeky things and it distract me from my activities. I just hope my body is doing the reverse of the bear - whereas he stores in the winter, I store in the summer. Today is what 105, so you never know.![]()

I just need to carry it on to next week, Ive only another 10lbs to get back down to cruise wt!! just need to stay with it . 10lbs doesnt seem like much but even 3lbs can be hard !!
