Connie, I've just lost over 40 pounds on a similar diet, Metabolic Research Center. It does work, but it's mentally challenging to walk away from the carbs. Initially you do lose 5ish pounds, it's all the water that the carbs hang on to. But when I followed the plan religiously, I was losing 3 pounds a week. I'm going to miss the protien drinks I've had all summer, they're relaly quite lovely!
