Just checking to see how everyone is doing. It's been a bit quiet around here :goodvibes
I was getting worried as my loss was slowing down, so we bought a Wii Fit Plus. I am now down 28.8 lbs as of yesterday. (Started 1-6-10):banana: Thats me after doing the 800 steps in 10 min, because I'm heading for the couch;)

I'm still plugging along. Had an ice cream cone the other night and was up 3 the next day, but the average is down slightly, so I'll take it. Having a fibro flare right now and the allergies are acting up, so I feel cranky and whiny. Plus we're moving dh's mom into assisted living next weekend, so I won't be in control of what food is available (guest in someone else's house). Just a bit of a bad patch, everybody has em. All I can do is the best I can do - my bg is good, so that's the important thing.

I am so sorry to hear you are going through so much. I think that it was the salt in the ice cream :lmao:.......plus a little treat once in a while is better than binging (sp?) later. I had a 2 in square of spice cake with cream cheese frosting, I was 2 lbs the next day :confused3 and feeling guilty:blush:
 
Brilliant Jen,hay fever is horrible, tuesday is my weigh day, Nearly took off what I put on last week, really determined to do good this week!
:confused3 LYNNE !!!! Stayed the same, next week, DEFINATLY loose at least 2 lbs.
I've been BAD this last week and it shows on the scale. I've gained up to 140, that's 2-3 pounds in just one week. I haven't been watching what I'm eating and I've only been exercising about half the time and then not pushing it once I'm there. But today, I'm back on it. I will start watching what I eat and forcing myself to go to the gym daily and push myself. This will be just a minor setback and I hope to be back to my 137-138 by the time I leave for Dallas on the 22nd :goodvibes
I think thats the thing about loosing wt, at least we get a freah start every 24hrs, go for it!
Thank you both! And that's the attitude to have about your loss. A loss is a loss is a loss. Those .25 pounds add up!

I did better today at the gym. First, I decided I would run my 3.1 miles and then just walk several mins to cool down. Finished my 3.1 in 28:17 and then starting walking but decided that since I had slacked the last several days, I should go for an hour of cardio and had planned to walk the remaining time. After about 18 of walking (around 1.1 miles), I thought "why not finish the hour with running?" Finished the hour and decided to run the cool down (5 mins) too. Still felt good, ran another 25 minutes! Granted, it was at a slower pace than my 3.1 in the beginning, but I still did it! Decided I'd better not overdue and finally stopped after 1.5 hours and 8.01 miles! Only 1.1 of that was walking so I feel very happy! But I'm SORE!!! My hips and right knee hurt. Tomorrow, I'm sure my muscles will hurt. Oh, and I also did about 20 mins of upper body strength training. I know I should do more but I was pooped!

I also did better eating today. I didn't have any ice cream (my weakness as I had ice cream 4 times in a matter of 5 days :scared1:) In fact, when DD and I finished off the Rocky Road last night, I decided that I wouldn't buy anymore! I can't. I can't have it in my house and not want it. In the summertime, that is what i crave and I just can't tempt myself right now. I won't torture the kids and will occasionally go to Sonic so they can get it, but I can usually resist there as it's just a few minutes of willpower I need vs 24/7 I need when it's in the house.:thumbsup2
Great run, I done 7 miles last week and done my achilles tendon in again, as you probably heard me moaning about on main thread, not happy and in foul mood, but the sun is out today and I went swimming and going for a hobble with dogs.

Thats the word of my life, plugging, its exactly what I do with re to my diet, every day I plug along!!

Yes, we should be allowed to treat oursleves. It's a shame that sometimes we feel like we can't. The weight comes on SO easy yet can take days or weeks to reverse. Just doesn't seem fair does it??

So sorry to hear about your Achilles tendon! Hope you ahve a speedy recovery and will be back out running soon.

I've been continuing to run on the treadmill. On Tuesday, I ran 6.2 miles w/o stopping or walking - the longest I ever have w/o walking or stopping. Then last night, at the gym, I was going to try again. After about a mile, I started to get real winded. My chest was burning and I was feeling very frustrated. After 1.6 miles, I just couldn't do it and walked for about 5 minutes. Then, I looked over at my friend's treadmill and mine was at about the same incline (5.0) even though it said 0. I tried to lower it and said "error". I jumped on another one and was able to pick up running and ran another 3.1 w/o any problems. I know I need to vary my incline, but I feel like that (and speed) will come later once I'm trained for the distance.

Ok, I am no expert but let me tell you something, Ive ran marathons and half marathons, some runs after 2 mins you know its going to be a good run, other runs are just not so good and I have learned just to go with it and accept sometimes your body doesnt want to run, just go with it, unlike me who had a pain and kept going last week. I get what your saying about the incline, I enjoy doing hills, I can tell you Ive got plenty hills around me.

ps, thats pretty funny with the incline, any running is great, who cares if speed and incline come,lol

and she eats crap no stop,:headache:anyway ,sorry to moan just ignore me.:rolleyes1

:grouphug:thanks guys, i got through the day and ate no rubbish, diet class (sorry healthy eating and excercise class tom again), I have done well this week, cant mind the last time I stuck to my plan for a whole week, thanks again.
 
I'm down another pound (probably more, but I weigh in after work, so it's after eating all day and with clothes on). I broke 180lbs, now I'm down to 179. (That's 12 1/2 stone or 81 kg). In 3 weeks I've lost 7.5 pounds. Yes it is hard (I so miss pasta and rice) BUT I'm loving the numbers on the scale!

Just checking in. Congratulations to all who have seen weight loss - gotta love that. On a different note, my sister just asked me if I wanted to run the princess half marathon with her next year. Have any of you done that type of thing before? Its a little daunting to me considering I DONT run, but it sounds like fun.

Just checking in. Congratulations to all who have seen weight loss - gotta love that. On a different note, my sister just asked me if I wanted to run the princess half marathon with her next year. Have any of you done that type of thing before? Its a little daunting to me considering I DONT run, but it sounds like fun.

I used to be 19stone plus, I had a list "things to do when I normal wt" one was to run a marathon, I had lots of things, to learn to ski,to go skinny dipping,to go sphering, to go on a cruise, to get a convertable,to get a tatto, and many,many more:yay: you could say I live life to the full now.

I have ran a few marathons now,lots of halfs, its really hard but anybody can do it, cause I did.!!


Anyhow, I lost 4 lbs this week, wooohooo, at last Ive turned it around, I sometimes wonder I managed that huge wt loss, when I struggle so hard just to maintain my wt, and boy do I struggle, But I am determined to get down to fighting/cruising wt which is another 14lbs to go!

And I meant to say, been to the physion with my achillies tendon, she was great, really helped, gave me lots of exercises and stuff to do, so I feel a lot bbeterin my self re that.!
Also... The laser hair removal is going so amazing on my face I am locuming next month for 3 nights to pay to get my bikini line lasered, did someone else mention that they had had it done?
