Panama Canal Eastbound Sept. 14, 2013--it'll be WONDER-ful

For the FE, do you give something to each individual, or each cabin?

How do I join the group on the boards?
Any tips you can give me for DIS and the cruise are welcome. I've already picked-up some tips from reading some TRs, but anything you think of would be welcome.
Thanks for all the "Welcomes" and tips.

If you will go to page 36 post 515 I put a lot of info about the FE in there.
It is up to you how you do your gifts. It can be one per cabin, with something extra for the children or whatever you and your budget can handle. The info will help you make your decision.

Not sure what you mean by how to join the group on the boards? Guess I need a little more clarification on what you want to know.

:thumbsup2 just listen out for the Aussie accent although there are a few of us there at that time :)

Love your accent. My DD works at a camp for disabled children every summer and they recruit several counselors from Australia and New Zealand. Kati has made several friends from each of those countries over the years.

Another question from a newbie. I see people wearing lanyards in a lot of TRs. Are these given out to everyone or just to people who have cruised before? If not everyone, should we bring our own? I mean are they a good thing to have, or merely a fashion statement?

Thanks for the info! I've been looking at a lot of threads and seen lot of ideas for the FEs.
I guess what I meant was, "How do we get on the roster?" Does that make more sense?
Thanks again for all the info. Hopefully I won't ask too many dumb questions.

DCL gives a lanyard to each stateroom quest indicating your CC Member level found inside the stateroom gift. We do use ours to hold the KTTW and other tickets or form used that day. On longer cruises with active DIS Boards we have usually had a DIS name tag and trip logo as well so we could quickly identify each other.

There are no dumb questions that's for sure. Chances are pretty good anything you ask someone else is thinking. This will be my fourth Disney cruise but my first since joining this message board. I've never known anyone before getting on board. My fiancée will be enjoying his FIRST cruise on DCL. He has no idea what is in store. He has only been on one cruise with Carnival for a friend's wedding. The more sharing we can all do the more we will know and hopefully the more we will know about each other.

Does anyone like playing dominoes or cards? I'm looking forward to an ocean breeze and a fruity drink and maybe some good natured competition. :)

Welcome to the new posters!

Can't wait to start booking Palo and the spa and shore excursions!

:tigger: We'd like to join the FE. I just hope it doesn't get toooooo big. I'm a little:scared: nervous about trying too much. It looks like so much fun, though. :joker:
Can you tell I like the emoticons?:confused3

:wizard:Just thought I'd share a bit about our up-coming trip. We're actually heading to a Navy reunion in Fl. We start out by train to LA for the EBPC--We're very excited!:cheer2: After that we are renting a car and driving:drive: along the Gulf Coast to Atlanta and Charleston and down to Orlando and WDW!:yay: After several days there we go to the reunion in Jacksonville, then home we go through the skies. We are rather giddy about it. We've never done anything like this before.pixiedust: Someone pinch me...is it real?

Well may not be the quickest way to FL but could be the path of most enjoyment. Train is my second most enjoyable transportation mode.

Awesome trip we have driven that but the opposite way we  road trips in the USA. Have Fun.

I've never seen the Gulf, but DH has. We'll be stopping several places along the way. We'll be gone a total of 40 days!:crazy2: Unheard of for us.
We've been to WDW once before when I won a trip--also unheard of for us. We had 4 days, one of which it poured for almost the entire day!:( We had an extra day that we spent at a water park. This was in December and we're from the Pacific NW. It was overcast, but not cold, so that was fine with us and we had the place almost to ourselves!:yay: Looking forward to more days in Oct. Hard to know what will be better-- the cruise:boat: or WDW.pixiedust:

Oh, and thanks for the comments!

Ahh yes Australia is such a small Country..... You are just around the corner! Haha. My soon to be 17 year old works at an Army Base Hospital, in the operating theatre, he is looking forward to his time off. We work 7 days a week in Real Estate so looking forward to time off too!
Have you been on the Wonder before? We have always been on the Magic. Well, not long now and we will be on deck 9 and 10 with a Bon Voyage for the cruise away party.

I bet you and the Family are so excited, I know we are! We have been taking our boys to Disney World since they were 2and 4, to them it is like a second home. We have never been to Texas and sadly when we dock we will only have time to get to the airport to fly to Orlando. I should have stayed a few days in Texas to have a look around...... Oh we'll another reason to come back next year! Let the count down begin, sail away deck party here we come!
