Its hardly a "casual brunch". This is a really, really good brunch.

I get that -- and it's like no other brunch you would get back home. But I go back to when brunch was $15 and dinner was $25. The fact that brunch (and it is casual compared to the dinner atmosphere and dress) is the same as dinner, regardless of how much food you can eat, just seems "odd" to me. Don't forget, at dinner you can also order as much as you want and they usually bring out "plates for the table" which always ends up being more food than anyone can eat. But the dinner is much more upscale and the food more upscale, so I could see that costing more Just a personal view.

I see it as there's much more variety of food at brunch than dinner. So, while you can get copious amounts of food at either, for dinner there are fewer items.

This may no longer be true, but I have heard that if you go into the Palo bar in the evening, and ask Very nicely, that you can order a souffle, just by sitting at the bar.

I think that is one of they "you used to be able to do" things that are no longer allowed.

However, last year after dinner our server and maitre'd invited us back up to Palo for a complementary coffee and dessert later on in the cruise. Unfortunately, we were unable to take advantage of that very kind offer. I have NO idea if this is common or not.

Strikes me as entirely likely. And to the poster who mentioned you would have to wait for them to make it, I DO know that. They may have done this in the past to sell more drinks.

The buffet is still there. This is the menu of items you can order in addition to the buffet. They used to be on display near the buffet and your server would show them to you but they don't do that anymore. You just order those items off a menu, then gorge yourself at the buffet.

Same as the menu we had on the Magic in Feb.

But what you are order off of the menu is NOT the Dinner items. It's the hot made to order dishes for brunch. I don't think that you could order the dinner Tenderloin or osso bucco for brunch.

We just got off B2B on the Dream and had 2 brunches and 1 dinner during our 7 nights on board. Everything was wonderful as always. the price is still $30.00 and because we are platinum, we got 2 of our meals for free.

chicken parm and the grape/gorgonzola pizza are still the highlight of our brunch visits. Dinner we always get Osso Bucco and the tenderloin.................with a side of mushroom risotto and side of scallops! souffle to finish it all off

Dumb question time...can you do both brunch and dinner at Palo on the same cruise?

You can but I suggest trying to reserve them on different days. Awesome food but they would have to roll me out of there if I attempted both brunch and dinner in one 24 hour period.

You can do both at brunch. There is a menu for entrees, and then the buffet for apps and desserts

Just saying that it is NOT a guarantee. I wouldn't want people to pull the "but I read it on the DIS" card like it's gospel. Trust me - Disney cast and crew are NOT fans of this place by and large because of that phrase.

sorry - I must have misunderstood - or remembered someone else talking about ordering dinner items.
