We have reservations for Palo tea on our Sea day. Not quite sure what to expect. Can someone tell me what is served here? Is it filling? We have the early dining and our Tea is at 3pm so I am wondering if this was not a good idea. Anyone have a menu or can tell me what is served?

Thanks!

You are given scones with cream cheese and jam, then a plate of small sandwiches (motz./tomato, shrimp salad, salmon and dill). You are also given a two-tiered tray of mini-desserts (brownie, celebration cake, fruit tart, marzipan) and a strawberry parfait. It is a nice little meal, but I would not call it dinner. You may skip an appetizer that night or something, but tea is a good experience at least once. Have fun!

Anything they do at Palo's is fantastic, so I would go lite at dinner (skip dessert) than pass up a Palo's Tea.

Enjoy. Hopefully you will have pleasant company as well to join you.

We are a party of three. Should we expect that we will be seated with others? Thanks for the information. I assume we get TEA! right!

I think it looks fun so we will do it. Do you dress at the tea like dinner or brunch? Just my mom, sister and me, no guys! Thanks!

No you shouldn't be seated with anyone else, DH and I went and were seated at a nice little table for two. Same thing for brunch seated just with your own group. You should dress fairly nice as Palo is pretty strict on enforcing their dress code, a nice sundress would do:goodvibes Tea is really a nice experience, enjoy! And of course you get tea:lmao: They have quite a selection and bring it to you so fancy, I loved it! Enjoy the time with your Mom and sis:thumbsup2

Your waiter will bring out a selection of teas for you to smell and ask questions about if you like...we were a party of 6 at a large booth table and we wanted to try new teas.

Our waiter (who we actually had a dinner the night before :cool2: ) was very knowledgeable about all the different teas, their origins and ingredients.

The food was classic English tea selection of scones with cream or jam, small sandwiches and desserts. Tea is not supposed to replace a meal just be a snack to hold you over until "supper" so you should be fine even with early dinner.

My family is colonial English in backround and for us Tea is a tradition so when at Palo my DH and I make it more of an experience than think of it as a meal. Have fun and relax!

We thought it was rubbish, the scones were dry, the little sandwiches were rolls, eh? whats that about?

Service was in our face.

It has maybe changed since we done it last but traditional tea for us in the uk are little itsy sannys with no cruust, not rolls.

BUT saying that, the company was brill and Im glad I done it just for the experiance.
