I am going on Disney Fantasy 7 day western Caribbean cruise with wife and 3 kids. Anniversary is during cruise. Should I go to Palo or Remy for anniversary dinner? Also which one has a better brunch?

I had a similar question a while back (we have eaten at Palo several times on the Magic/Wonder, and really like it, but now will have a chance to try Remy), so I did a bunch of reading about the menus and lots of peoples' reviews. I think it will come down in large part to what type of food you prefer. From what I gather, for those who can appreciate gourmet food, and are willing to pay the additional cost, Remy is the better choice. It seems that Remy has a somewhat higher level of service and environment, also (not that Palo is bad).

However, my wife and I, after talking it over for a while, decided to stick with Palo. We know we like the menu there, a lot, and have had nothing but good experiences. Few of the items on the Remy menu looked like things either of us would like, and though I'm sure some of those that didn't look so hot would have turned out great, it felt crazy for us to be paying more money for a meal that neither of us thought looked that appealing, compared to one we knew we'd like.

I think we are going to do the Remy dessert experience, though! It'll give us a taste of Remy...

We loved Remy, and FWIW, I thought the dessert at the end of our dinner was anti-climatic, so I'm not anxious to try the Remy dessert buffet. We've also been to Palo brunch and Palo dinner and they were nice, but we've enjoyed better Italian food, and better buffets on other cruise lines. Remy was in a class by itself. YMMV.

Let me be the first to say that Remy is an interesting experience however we would not consider doing it a second time. Plain and simple, it was just too much food. Just when you think that you're winding down, they ramp you back up with several desserts, sweets, and even treats to bring back to your cabin. We did the wine pairing which was nice but it was just too much and jacked the price up considerably . The atmosphere is lovely, the servers and wine stewards are excellent, and the experience is delightful. I just felt like I had to be rolled out of the restaurant at the end and it was not a pleasant feeling. We have much preferred Palo both for dinner and brunch. If you've not had dinner at Remy, I would consider as it is not likely you could enjoy a large and quite fancy meal for this price outside of a cruise however if you are not big eaters, Palo is a more pleasant experience in my opinion. It takes effort to eat at Remy. Palo is much more relaxed and effortless

Palo dinner fan here! Did the brunch and dinner on same sailing and preferred the dinner better! Remy menu did not appeal to us at all.

Have done both, I prefer Palo. Remy is too expensive. Thought the food was outstanding but still expensive

We liked Remy for a milestone anniversary. Both are very good. Choose what menu appeals to you the most.

Agree with rec that you review the menus and decide what appeals. On our honeymoon cruise we ate at both and while Remy was excellent service and food wise, we don't feel the desire to dine there every cruise as we do Palo. Everyone is different though so good luck deciding!
