Palo Dress code - Please help

Could you please help me on dress attire for Palo. I'm getting mixed messages about how to dress. Do you think nice slacks and button shirt is ok. Or is it nessasary to wear jacket and tie. What do you think? Also, is there a way to make spa and palo reservations in advance.

The wife and I are trying to pack as light as possible -

You can pack light on Disney Cruises. It is much more relaxed than others and every other floor has washer/dryers (do not do laundry day before departure date - it's a mad rush).

Palo's for brunch - Hubby did not wear a jacket, but a nice Tommy Bahama shirt with dress slacks and dress shoes. I wore a simple dress with high heels.

Palo's for tea - Jacket for men. Dress and heels for women.

Palo's for dinner - Jackets, shirt and tie (optional) for men. Some where tuxes but not needed. Women wore dressier dresses, some suits and some wear gowns. Hubby wore what he wore on semi dress night and I wore a black slinky dress.

A jacket is very appropriate for Palo....most men will be wearing jackets......dont worry about the tie though....

Remember that DCL recently relaxed their dress codes a bit, even for Palo. We were on the Magic last week. For brunch, they request no shorts. We saw a gentleman sent back to his stateroom to put on pants. His wife however, was allowed to stay in her shorts. My DBF wore dockers and a polo for brunch. I wore capris, nice top, and sandles. For dinner, Palo requests a jacket OR dress shirt now. DBF wore dockers and a dress shirt and I wore a nice skirt and blouse. We seemed to fit in. Didn't see any tuxes for dinner and most were pretty casual for brunch. Hope this helps.

My opinion... its a very nice restaurant-dress as accordingly as you can. I thought of it as one of those really cool evenings when hubby and I could pretend we were dating again and dressed to impress our dates.
Its fancy be fancy and save room for desert.

My husband always wears a jacket and tie, but I think you'd be okay in "business casual." As long as it's not jeans and a t-shirt, it will be fine.

We cruised about three weeks ago and did brunch and dinner. For brunch I wore a skirt with a blouse and my husband wore dockers with a button down shirt. For dinner I wore a dress that we a bit dressier and my husband wore a dress shirt and slacks. I didn't see anyone in a tux though many men wore a jacket but not all. It is just a slight bit more relaxed than when we cruised two years ago.

My favorite to wear is a jacket with no tie. I'm business casual four days a week, so a jacket is kind of a nice "hey, I'm someplace fancy" kinda thing.

And as for reservations....As son as you get on the ship RUN up the stairs from the main lobby and make your reservations for Palo.The earlier you make the reservations the better seating time you'll get...

The only way to make Palo and spa reservations in advance is to book the REAS package or if you are booked in a suite you can make Palo reservations in advance. HTH
