Palo Dress Code Changes?

This is the problem with society generally. Those people who want to over turn the status quo are always louder and more (sorry judgemental word :scared:) annoying than those who are happily motoring along. How many people wrote on their comment cards "please keep Palo upscale!" ? Probably nobody.

I certainly would have done if i knew they were thinking of changing the dress code :sad1:

Have you people looked at people lately. Jeans is becoming the thing with sports coats. I don't know why you people are still complaining. I guess I will have to dust offmy Hawaiian shirt with my jeans when I go to palo next. Btw I found a Hawaiian polo shirt I just might order for palo also, because it buttons down with a collar. Why do people care what others wear. It's not your job to judge people by their clothes. And to princess shmoo who said she bought a dress from the goodwill for $8 and wore it to palo. In my opinion I find it offensive that you wore that, since you are complaining about blue jeans how is that any better then blue jeans. Just a thought

Mostly because it was a formal dress. Not in the same league as blue jeans in any way. I find lots of good, only worn once fancy clothes at the local thrift shops.

I didn't wear it to Palo, however, I got it for formal nights.

I think is just a matter of respect for others to look your best. Especially at a location that at least has a "dress code" on the books.

It does have a dress code. It says blue jeans are allowed. So I still don't understand why people are having a cow bout jeans when they are allowed now. No one has said anything about the guy who said he would wear his Santa suit. So you would want to sit with a guy who wears a Santa suit or wears blue jeans. Just to let you know I wear lee jeans and they actually make dress jeans and so does wrangler.

I don't know why you are assuming a dress purchased at Goodwill would not be appropriate. I've shopped there for my daughter and found plenty of very nice looking, gently used clothes that are much dressier than jeans. You seem to think wearing jeans to Palo is appropriate. You are entitled to your opinion. I personally think jeans are completely out of place for Palo. Yes, many people are dressing more casually these days and that isn't a good thing in my opinion.

I'd suggest that most people have just ignored the absurdity of the post suggesting wearing a santa outfit or suit or costume, regardless of what you and they can call it.

You are totally able to wear your blue jeans now, but that does not mean everyone has to agree with the policy change just because you like it.

Now I find it offensive that you guys are complaint bout my jeans. It's something I wear to feel good in. I'm wearing what is allowed. Now I feel like I'm being attacked by the last two posters because I wear jeans. I still don't know why people give a care that I want to wear jeans when the are allowed. As far as I'm concerned all you people who want to wear all formal clothes to palo are trying to make yourself better then me and my jeans. I still don't know why people care. You don't pay for my cruise or for my reservations to palo and I don't ask anyone to. It says jeans are allowed. I'm not breaking any rules just following them just like all you people in your formal clothes. When I go I hope I get set in a table next to one of you guys complaining bout jeans and you can stare at them. But I wonder why people are staring at what people wear. My wife says I have a nice butt in jeans so I guess other people want to stare at it also while I'm in my jeans and check it out to

I am a rule follower and would appreciate if Disney would enforce the rules. What I saw at Palo on Thursday on the Magic was anything goes. In every case, woman are dressed beautifully but the husband is just showing up. I believe it would be disrespectful to a wife who is going all out to look her best for a beautiful romantic dinner and the husband throws on a white linen pants ankle high with flip flops and come to Palo's. (this was a true observation) I am tired of the "I am on vacation so rules do not apply to me" selfish argument. Skip Palo if you do not want to dress appropriately. If my wife wants to go to Palo's then be a man and dress up for her.

I don know why I'm getting attacked for jeans, when there was a previous post about a guy wanting to wear his Santa suit. So you would rather sit by a guy in a Santa suit or jeans. Why is it my job to dress up for other people's wife. If my wife likes me in jeans that's then that's what I'm going in.. So if you guys have a problem with my jeans since that's what I can afford then would some one like to start a gofundme page so I can get nice clothes to wear for palo. If you guys make enough money for me then I will let you know what size I wear and what kind of suit I would like

Well your ability to be offended and feel attacked by others not liking a change in policy is offensive to me. Why did you feel the need to attack Princess Shmoo for wearing a $8 thrift store dress when you say others should not judge others?
Why do you care what I think or what my opinion is about your attire and choice of clothing?
You do not pay for my cruise either, so why should you have an opinion on here about my opinion on your choice of clothing? Why are you judging me, because in your opinion I am judging you?

See how this whole you are judging me and I'm offended can be turned around to show the pointlessness of your argument?
You have criticized others and argued against your own arguments and so are corner of being offended what others think, by critizing others for what they think and they are offended by what you think.
Catch 22.

Live and let live.

People are allowed to have opinions in life that might be different than yours. If you are going to choose to be offended by this, life will get pretty difficult pretty quickly. I, on the other hand, love hearing different opinions and being around people who may not see things the same way I do. It's not all about you, you know.

You are not being attacked for wearing jeans. All anyone has said is that they disagree with the policy change and would prefer if it has not happened, and that jeans are not in their opinion appropriate. Nothing to feel "attacked" by, nothing to feel "offended" by, unless you take others opinions exceptionally badly and as criticism of you, your free choice to wear what is in accordance with disney cruise lines policy, and anyone having an opinion other than your self and your wife opinion of a nice butt in jeans.

I'm just say all you guys started attacking about jeans. I'm my writing is what is the difference of me wearing jeans or shmoo's $8 dress. There is nothing wrong with jeans. I don't care if you guys dress fancy but don't stare at me and make comments behind my back when I'm up there eating in jeans. What I'm just saying you guys are having a problem with the dress code, when I'm not breaking the new dress code, since I can wear jeans. The rules are made to be followed and I'm following the rules of the dress code since I can wear them. Like I said if you guys don't like my jeans why don't someone start a gofundme page for new clothes so I can be a sheep and follow everyone's rules and dress like them. I don't want to dress like everyone else so that's why I'm wearing jeans, not to conform to everyone else. I figure this shirt meets rules in it has buttons and a collar I will order this for palo.

Now would you tell this guy he couldn't wear this to palo when his clothes match the rules.image.jpeg
