We have only cruised DCL once - on the Wonder (January 2017). We loved our Palo dinner!! On another thread someone made a good point about booking Palo Brunch instead of dinner so that you do not miss an MDR for dinner. We don’t want to be disappointed since we had such a great dinner. Are the menus the same / similar for brunch and dinner? If you’ve done both - which do you prefer? This next cruise we are on the Fantasy.

Brunch, brunch, brunch.

Not the same menu. It's a buffet and ordered menu items.

Did I mention - brunch!

Question - does the brunch take the full 120 minutes posted on the Disney activities webpage or could we hit the buffet and be gone in 30-45 minutes and still get our money's worth? I was thinking of booking, but we only 2.5 hours that morning in which our littlest will be in the baby nursery and am trying to decide between going to brunch or the rainforest room (ideally both if we have time).

Half an hour would be pushing it. I would plan on at least an hour. You don't HAVE to linger over coffee. Palo is supposed to be a relaxing experience.

This. If you're only budgeting a half an hour, don't even bother IMHO. That would really not give you time to order anything off the menu - or if you could it would be wolfed down. Even an hour is pushing it IMHO.

I would allow 90 minutes. You might not need 2 hours, but anything under an hour is inadequate.
We had brunch last week on the Wonder and we really took our time and didnt order our pizza and chicken parm too soon and I think we were there right at 2 hours.

Also was the first time we were offered and got a chocolate lava cake that was incredible for dessert.

If we have to choose, it's always brunch. On a 7 night we will do both a brunch and a dinner, but on a shorter cruise we always try to get a brunch. Helpful hint that i didn't know on our first cruise- if you cannot book a brunch online, try in person when you embark. We have never not gotten a spot that way.

Definitely different experiences.

Both are great.................I dont think you can go wrong either way.

If I ever get my husband on a ship again it will be on the strength of that brunch, for the record.

We do both, but we are usually on longer cruises. When we did a recent b2b with two 5-night cruises on the Magic, we limited ourselves to brunch on the first cruise and dinner on the second. On the EBPC, we did brunch, dinner, and were able to book a second brunch, so you can tell what I mean when I say that if I had to do only one, it would be brunch.
