PalMickey... everyone should get one!

We are in WDW right now (day 2 of 12 days). We bought MPM last night and used him in the parks today. We had no problems with him staying clipped on...but, we couldn't hear him at all. DD5 would press his hand to get him to repeat things, but she's 5 and couldn't really articulate his instructions to me. And, I found it too cumbersome to remove him each time and put him up to my ear to get him to repeat things. Hence, we really didn't enjoy him. And, he didn't give us nearly as much info as I thought he would (maybe we just couldnt hear him). I was disappointed with him. He should have a speaker on the top of his head so that his voice is projected UPwards to your ears when he is clipped on.

I honestly can't see any reason to buy another stuffed toy that would increase the clutter in my house. Pal Mickey is of absolutely NO USE to me. Now if he had a PDA screen to give me tips then I would consider getting one but sound. NO WAY.

We are getting to disney on wednesday this week(18th) and i want to get one. We are staying at the CBR amd i was wondering where i should get one.

They've got them for sale/rent at the gift shop at CBR ... It's inside Old Port Royale You can also get them at the gift shops closest to the entrance of most parks.

Do you find yourself changing your "game-plan" to check out the places PM is suggesting? I would be flexible on a trip, but if we are planning on heading one place and PM says to look for "A" at a different spot, I can see my kids wanting to do it and then maybe disappointed that we didn't. If we go in Aug., DS will turn 9 while we are there and at first I thought what a great gift, but I am not so sure....anyone elses plans get swayed by PM?

All the information we got had to do with where we were at that time. In Epcot when we entered a country he would talk about that country and what was going on and what there was to see. Same in the other parks.
