Palladia, do you have this station?

My DIL, Katlyn, told me, about 2 weeks ago, about this station that her and Vince often watch, Pallidia. She told me she thought I would enjoy it and asked if we get it on our cable setup. I told her I had never heard of it but would check. I did and we do.

I have watched a number of concerts, etc these past two weeks....Dave Matthews, Counting Crows, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, among others. And today, Genesis and now Hall & Oates at the moment. All excellent.

It sort of reminds me of either MTV and/or Vh1, before both of those mostly became

for my viewing. Vh1 Classic is still pretty good. In looking ahead over the coming weeks in the Tivo guide, I can see there is still a lot of junk (junk to me), but also a lot of good viewing too.

Do you get this channel? If so, maybe give it a look, if you enjoy music.

I have not ever heard of it. I have Direct TV. I will have to check. Sounds neat.
I think all my TV gets is football.

It is a pay channel here, so we don't have it. Of course we don't listen to a lot of music.

We've got it on our hi-def cable lineup. Just started discovering what really great stuff they show. Saw parts of a Tom Petty concert, John Lennon Imagine and "Tommy" the other night. Really great all in hi-def!

Hi Dan-
I haven't heard of it before, so I googled it just now. THe channel is mostly on Direct tv and dish networks and some cable networks. It is a subsidary of MTV and VH-1(Viacom).
The station used to be called MHD and they changed the name to Palladia in Sept. It has mostly the concerts and Storytellers that VH-1 used to show. Yes, VH-1 is not so good as of programming now I only watch some videos that are on early morning(5am) if I'm up at that time. THat's the only decent thing on VH-1 for me. I have expanded basic cable, as digital cable is too costly for us.
