I am not a hunter but DH's dad was. I quickly found out that hunters get a kick out of what non-hunters perceive they do.
Although I have no interest in hunting, I no longer regard all hunters as from another planet. DFIL didn't go into the woods guns blazing and shoot every fawn in sight because it made him feel bigger and badder, but until I figured that out...well, DFIL had a blast letting me stereotype him.
Hunting is a way of life in Alaska and I'm sure that moose fed the family for a few days. Sarah Palin is probably used to us Lower 48ers' silly assumptions.
I understand that. What shocked me was the "I'm an animal!" line. I thought it was kinda strong.
I know Palin is very proud t be a hunter. She may be used to the lower 48 "silly assumptions", but she's not trying to appeal to just Alaskans anymore. The lower 48 get to vote too.
