Pal Mickey is now wearing cute little outfits, right? I read that and looked at the home page of the web site. Wow. This is getting interesting! Where are people getting these raincoats, etc?

Anybody out there dressing your Pal Mickey? Are you buying his wardrobes at Build A Bear, or what? I can't wait to see what Pal Mickeys will be wearing on our trip May 1-9!

Also, I wanted to pick up some batteries for the Pal Mickey that's waiting for me. Can't wait to get my own little babbling guy (not sure if I'll dress him or not..........)

Can anyone tell me how many/what kind of batteries they take?

Thanks Disers!
:teeth:

He takes 2 AA batteries. The original batteries that come with him lasted us through a 10 day trip last summer, a few play sessions at home and the first day back this year. Kindness note: he ran out of power at MK (he just kept vibrating and I thought something was wrong with him so I took him to a CM at one of the little shops.) She explained what was wrong and sent me to the nearest shop that had batteries. When I tried to pay for the batteries, they refused my money. Now whoever heard of Disney refusing to take your money?!?
Have fun with your Mickey!

Oh! how cute!!

When we go to WDW I want my Mickey to be dressed also!

Where are people finding clothes for him?

I want pictures!! Please

TIA

Aryn:D :D

Oh this is too cute!! I want my pal to be dressed, too. We are leaving in a few days and I need to go pick up a few last minute things today and would love Mickey to have a new outfit for the trip.
Build a Bear sounds like a good idea...maybe I'll try there.

Going to bump this up. I would also love to know about the clothes.:goodvibes

Ack! This place is dangerous!! Not only do I now know about & want a Pal Mickey, but we can accessorize him too??? :teeth:
We're going for Halloween, hmmm, what costume should he get??

Is he a similar size to Build A Bears? He sounded smaller by some descriptions.

HEY MAYBE PAL MICKEY WOULD FIT INTO SOME BOYD'S BEAR CLOTHES!!

SINCE I LIVE NEAR GETTYSBURG, PA
(HOME OF BOYD'S USA) I THINK I'LL GO SEE IF I CAN FIND HIM AN OUTFIT OR TWO!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I want to know too!
I hope they come out with a Pal Minnie too so I can dress her up!

What website??? I've been dressing my Pal Mickey since we adopted him in May of last year. When DH and I went down in October Pal Mick was dressed in his jack-o-lantern costume that I made for him. My young adult DD, insulted the poor little guy by calling a "squash"..but Pal Mickey wore that costume the entire visit. Might've been a little warm for him...he went into a coma one day and had to be revived with a fresh energy source, (aka batteries). But we got alot of comments and compliments on him in his costume. I sent a photo of him sitting with DH at the Roase and Crown Pub to Disney magazine.... they never sent it back or printed it.
In January, Pal Mickey returned with us to WDW sporting a pair of running shorts and a loose top... and running shoes.. since he came with us for the half marathon.. or actually in his case.. in was the "Mouseathon"... that's what the medal I made for him said. Oh, I made a him a little visor too... to keep the sun off his nose.
Hmmm....... gosh... we're going in a few weeks.. and I didn't make him anything new to wear!!!! Think he'll be upset?? Maybe a flowered shirt for the Flower Power concert???

Build a Bear even has Disney outfits. My Pal is going to be dressed like Buzz Lightyear....SPACEEE RANGGER!

My only thought is do I buy the outfits now and pack them or do I wait and buy them at DTD? The idea of packing for the Mouse is pretty funny to me.

Hi.

Not sure which websites they're referring to but I know of a lady from the Passporter site who has a site dedicated to Pal Mickey. Sorry can't remember her name or the sites address and I'm a bit rushed at the moment to lcoated it.

Build-A-Bear as the lady from the other site so kindly pointed out is a bit bigger then Pal Mickey. However the baseball caps fit though are big. The Ducky Raincoat from there is large but hopefully will keep him somewhat dry if the sky is lightly spitting. She had pictures of her's dressed in a red polo, red baseball cap and the sketcher sneakers then another pictures of him dressed in the raincoat.

My Pal Mickey (before meeting the nice lady) was dressed in January in some SweetHeart Dolls clothes from Disney. I used the jean jacket that has eeyore on the pockets, a white t-shirt that had the mickey flag icon, the flag icon baseball cap (though it falls off) and the flag icon backpack. Also used one of the little lanyards from the Sweetheart dolls (it's purple). He received tons of attention from CMs and was a wonderful ice breaker.

One of the travel buddies has Boyd's at home and found some of their clothes did fit him. And let me tell you he is simply adorable! Though locally we are having trouble finding more. The clothes she had were from visit last summer to the Boyd's home place.

Now me and the 3 buddies have taken Pal Mickey (yes all 3 of them at the same time) to the local Build A Bear and tried on clothes. So now all of ours have baseball caps, sunglasses, t-shirts and the sketcher sneakers. And the ducky raincoat. We can't wait to go back again and see if anything new fits or if I can talk a niece into altering the bigger things for him.

The Disney outfits are only available at certain build a bear stores, go to their website and i think i typed in DISNEY in the search box when the disney screen came up there was a link on the page for locating the stores that carried the disney outfits. Basically I think they are only in FL and then the one at DTD in DisneyLand.

Personally I want the Buzz too and hope to order it from online (which you can do) in the next month or so. I have time since I'm not traveling till the winter *g*

We absolutely love our Pal Mickeys and we're all adults. But are big kids at heart but isn't that what Disney is about *g*

Enjoy your little guys and if you come up with other ideas for dressing him for those of us who can't sew I'd love to hear more ideas. Oh and don't forget to take pictures of him. He's in almost every picture taken of me and now he's not just a toy but a little friend who holds many wonderful memories for me.

Moonmom! Love the medal idea. Build a bear has a medal which was what I planned on using when we do the 1/2 for our little guys LOL How'd you make your little guy's medal? Are you doing the 1/2 again in 2005?

I'm the lady with the <B><a href="http://www.primateprojections.com/travel/magicaldisney/PalMickey/" target="index">Pal Mickey's Grown-Up Pals Club</A></B> website. I'm not exactly from Passporter. I'm a member of that board as well as the DIS and several other Disney-related boards, and even have one of my own that a friend and I started. I feel there is room for all! :smooth:

I'm a central FL AP-holding local. :teeth: Our <B><a href="http://www.primateprojections.com/travel/magicaldisney/PalMickey/" target="index">Pal Mickey's Grown-Up Pals Club</A></B> website has the latest news and info on <I>Pal Mickey</I>, plus <B><a href="http://www.primateprojections.com/travel/magicaldisney/PalMickey/photos.html">Photos</A></B> and even "photo adventures" at the parks! We also have "<B><a href="http://www.primateprojections.com/travel/magicaldisney/PalMickey/meets.html">meets</A></B>." Anyone who owns or rents a Pal Mickey is welcome to join us.

BTW - I will be offline from about an hour from now until late tomorrow night or Friday morning, because I'll be travelling. But if you have any questions, feel free to ask me here, PM or e-mail me and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm at a computer again!

I had some heavy sticky back gold metallic heavyweight glossy stuff left from scrapbooking that I cut into a "Mickey Head", (he insisted he did the full!) and before sticking the two sides together I put the two ends of the ribbon inside and they sealed nicely. I also made him a runner's bib using a combination of my computer/transfer/ and my sewing machine.

I plan on doing the half again 2005.. this year I really bombed.. I finished but,, barely.. and a month ago I tore some tendons in my ankle so I'm supposed to stay off it for now...at least now I can spend some time making Pal Mick something new to wear on our trip next month!

taswira, where did you get the clothes for your Pal Mickey? Are they from Build-A-Bear? If so what size? I really like the Safari outfit. I am going to get my DGD a Pal Mickey when we go in Dec and would really like to get different outfits for him. The safari outfit would be great for the day we go to AK. I would like to get a Christmas outfit for when we go to MVMCP.
