Is Pal Mickey worth it? How much does he actually help, and does he give you a jump on everyone else?

I don't think he gives you a "jump" on everyone else...just some corny jokes and some trivia. I do think it would be fun to have though. This subject has actually come up a couple of times in the last couple of months. If you do a search I'm sure you'll find some threads.

We just got back from a trip and bought Pal Mickey while we were there. I wish I'd researched more before I shelled out the money. I thought he would be full of info on short lines and things that would help make our time in the park more efficient. But we didn't get any of that information. Just stuff like "ahead is Liberty Square" and lots of trivia and jokes. If you still want to get one, I'd check out eBay -- they seem to be going a lot cheaper there.

We bought one and used on two or three trips. It is difficult to hear the mouse speak (so I devised a strap/clip system to hold close to her neck/ear) and he really doesn't do anything but giggle and tell stupid jokes the the post earlier said. I don't feel it is worth the money but we take it back since I've already paid for it. it usually ends up in the backpack or stuck on a stroller. I don't believe I ever got an update on ride length or anything. Used it during a couple Halloween trips too and I don't guess those events are programmed in because I don't recall anything special on the Halloween night(s).

Honstely. my DH & I don't get much from him- but our daughters thinks he is hysterical! They even brought him up to Mickey to "introduce" him in the Judge's Tent and took their pic with him! :rotfl2:

My mom got it for my sister and me. I thought it was very useful. It took us the best spot to watch fireworkes and it did tell us when shows would start and when lines were short.

I was going to buy one for our 2 1/2 year old? Would it keep him entertained while waiting in lines? :hourglass Any help would be great! ::MickeyMo

Ours also told us when lines were short for some of the rides and where good places were to watch Illuminations and when shows would be starting. We had fun with him. DH (who will be 30 in Dec) still plays with him a year later (but aren't all of us Dis'ers and WDW lovers kids at heart?) we both like the game about which ride is in which park.
