Pal Mickey - Worth it?

Just wondering who all found Pal Mickey to be worth the cost? Anybody who didn't/wouldn't do it?

I purchased a Pal Mickey for my niece as a Christmas present this past year. We took him with us when we went a couple of weekends ago. We had a hard time hearing what he had to say, it's not that loud. He vibrates to let you know when he has something new to say, so if you have him clipped to your pants you have to unclip him and place him by your ear to hear him.

He was cute, but I'm glad I got it through Ebay for $15.

I'm going to read those other threads to, as I was wondering the same thing! I also wanted to add that if the PP got theirs on ebay it is likely the older version. The newer version is advertised as being louder (and also comes with a lanyard so you can wear it around your neck). Great find on ebay for 15 bucks though!

We bought one during our 2004 trip, but it stayed home for the 2005 trip. For us, it was not worth it at all. As other posters have mentioned, it was really hard to hear.

My husband loves that thing... I can't wait until we go in March so our old one can get new jokes. We'll be getting a new one as well because my hubby just HAS to have it. Goodness, maybe they can tell each other their bad jokes...

I made him take it to work so his co-workers can enjoy him.

The New one is Louder and includes info on newer rides like Soarin' that the old one cannot get.

For those that were interested... I called the outlets and they are out of the old ones (none at all). Oh, and to the PP who asked if it will repeat... You have 15 seconds to make it repeat what it said (up to five times). I believe you squeeze its hands...

Thanks so much! I was already leaning towards getting him and now I'm sure! He does sound pretty expensive but so does everything else so might as well live!

It's definetly worth it. From what has been posted on here before, the old one can be updated if taken to the MK ( i forgot which store). I don't believe it will tell you about the newest rides, but at least there will be more info available that he will be able to provide.

We had a blast with him on our last trip and i think i enjoyed him more than the DD (14 months).
