I am interested in the Pal Mickey. There will be three kids in our group my DS and DD and my DNeice.

1. How much is the Pal Mickey to buy?

2. How much to rent?

We will probably need to get three but I am not sure if I want to deal with holding for my 2 kids.

Thoughts?

If you had a Pal Mickey with kids was it worth it?

Thanks for your help.

I don't think that you can rent Pal Mickey anymore.

I think he is about $65. We got him on sale in the fall for only $14.99. He's cute....but I wouldn't pay $65 for him.

Pal Mickey is no longer available for rent, only for purchase. You can buy him at all the resort gift shops, certain shops in the parks and Downtown Disney.

I believe he is approx $69. and odd cents including tax.

We bought the older "non 50th anniversary edition for $15.00 from one of the outlet stores", last year.

To answer the second part of your question, Yes, I think it was worth it for my DD8. We bought the new version, paid full price, and received as much or more enjoyment out of it.

Every kid should have one (My son loved it, but I wanted one too - my next trip... I get one for me too. Like I said every kid should have one, including me ;) )

We just got back from Disney in February. I would highly recommend having only one Pal Mickey and letting the kids take turns carrying and caring for him.

We loved our Pal Mickey and he was soon a member of the family. My kids just call him "Pal". He had great games and trivia and we even liked the corny jokes he told.

BUT...even with the lanyard, he gets heavy and hot. By the end of the day the kids often passed him to my DH or me to hold and "watch on" (my DD's words...). I can't imagine being saddled with 3 of them!

Me and DH bought one for our trip last week. At first my DH was hesitant to spend that much money on him, but since we are going with DS in Aug, we splurged.

We thought he was a lot of fun! He really had tons to say and his corn ball jokes are very cute. He is not very big and I thought he was very light and easy to carry.

According to your time ticker we should be at WDW during the same time! We're staying at the BCR.

I want to get a Pal Mickey for me because I know that my DS16 will say he is too old for that nonsense but I think that the $65.00 in worth it and he looks small enough not to be a burden.

We just switched to CSR. It will be our first time staying there. We just thought 10 days was too long for Pop.

I clipped Mickey right on the strap of my messenger bag and he didn't bother me a bit. When we go in Aug we will probably have DS carry him on the lanyard. It is nice that he comes with both options.

You'll love him, and I think your DS will be surprised when he sees all the other 16 yo who are carrying one. My DH thought we would be the only child free couple hauling Mick around, but we certainly were not!

Pal Mickey is very cool to have around. But a few words of advice:

1. He's not very loud so you have to hold him close if you're going to hear what he has to say.

2. When he giggles, that's when he's activated a comment about an attraction.

We purchased a Pal Mickey for our last visit and the kids enjoyed it a lot. I would be willing to sell you my gently used Mickey for forty bucks if you would like.

PM me if you are interested.
