Pal Mickey (& Friends) Adventures & Fashions

Mickey has lots of beach time before the cruise in September. I love the new clothes Becky!

OMG Becky I love all of it. where did you find these? I/we are cruising in June and then again in Sept. Pal has swim trunks, and beach towel, crocs, but would love to get him more beach/cruise items like your Pal, esp the life ring.

Way too cute.

It's actually a set for a Dora the explorer doll. I found it on clearance at the Walmart in Delaware only to see it back home for almost double what I paid.
They also have a doctor, artist, and another set I saw but I don't think any of those would work for Mickey as they are pink/purple but I don't think the sleeves and pants would work either.

The red top is actually a swimsuit, I want to alter it and the shorts but haven't had a chance yet. I am gonna try and see if I can make the sandals work for Stitch, as they are way too tiny for Mickey.

The lifevest fits very well. The whistle needs new velcro. The goggles were two pair for $1 at Walmart, Mickey and Stitch are fighting over the lime green ones.

Well guess I better get to store to see if can find on sale down here. LOL.

Tell Mick and Stitch no fighting. have them flip a coin to see who gets the lime green ones LOL.

Another toy/doll that I normally see at Walmart or Kmart is Just Kidz. Their mid size dolls clothes fight Pal and the plush Minnie I bought (which is about same size of Pal just little longer). I found two of these dolls on sale a few months back 4.00 each. So bought one with a dress, one with overalls. Took clothes off and gave the naked dolls away LOL.

Now that I have Minnie I need to look at the Dora stuff. I have usually overlooked it since was on look out for Pal.

Depending on weather here tomorrow just may have to visit walmart, kmart, and target LOL

thanks for sharing becky. if get more or do more post the pics!!!!!

ReAnSt - just chuckling at the outfit. Very cute swimsuit. :beach: Nice photos!

The visor is borrowed from another bear. The clothes and PJs I made. I think I did ok for my first attempt at modifying patterns.

I love the jammies Ellen. The jeans look nice too. You did awesome for a first attempt. I can't wait to see what else you come up with.

Believe it or not the fabric I used to make the jammies is left over from when I made clothes for my first DS before he was born. And he is 21 years old now. I knew I hung onto all that old fabric for a reason. :rotfl: The shirt fabric is leftover too, but I did break down and buy some denim when I was at JoAnn's today.

Great job Ellen. would never have known it was a first attempt. please if do more show us pics.

you and mrspotatohead are very talented in sewing.

Ellenbunny,

These are terrific! Your PAL is very lucky to have you!

Ok, PAL gets his own table and chairs! I found this set in a Bear store in the Poconos this past weekend and couldn't resist. The chairs look just like my own kitchen chairs, and the whole set fits into my kitchen color scheme and decor quite nicely. I'm so glad I don't have to keep bringing his bean bag chair down stairs when he wants to lounge around....

The tea cup is part of a picnic/tea set I found at World Market...the set didn't have all the pieces, so the manager gave it to me for $2 - it's a great set, not too girly. I'm a big tea drinker, so now PAL can sit with me for tea time...

Thanks for looking! My next adventure is to take apart a BABW scuba set I won on Ebay and try to cut it all down to fit PM. I really wanted a scuba set for my Coral Reef dinner in May, and I'm hoping this works out. It's really hard to find that material otherwise.

Minn got a new gardener outfit today so she decided to give the other one to Pal. I guess he is alright since it has a hanky in back pocket <G> Plus he doesn't have his crocs yet but will be getting them next week so I think he will be fine then. Plus Minn is going to give the shovel to Pal to carry.

*Minn's outfit is a Dora one) Oh Minn wanted the swimming one but the store didn't have that, just the artist, gardener and rainy day ones.

So Mickey wants to share what he got recently

He is ready for his cruise now, is it September yet?? :confused3 :confused3

Becky, I found the Dora life quard set tonight. Minnie looks great in the swimsuit. And looks great in life vest and shorts. One will carry the whistle the other carry the life ring.

Just soooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!! So glad you posted pics as I would never think to look for this. Minnie and Pal and so excited now and even more excited for cruising

Ok folks...been stuck in the house for a few days with a back injury so I decided to be a little productive in the few lucid hours I had today. I purchased a retired BABW scuba set on Ebay and it came today. I cut it apart, cut it down, and re-sewed it together. It's tight...especially on the legs going over the feet...but it will do. Since it's not an "everyday" outfit, I'll let it go.... I didn't cut down the flippers...decided they were fine the way they are!

I bow to those of you that cut down clothes and re-sew them! I don't have the patience for it...I'll make something from scratch any day after this....

so sorry to hear about back injury and hope you have a speedy recovery.

the scuba outfit looks great. since I don't sew at all i can't imagine what it took to take apart and sew back together. sure looks like you did a fantastic job though.

i love the fins :cool1:

Since Pal is so small, you might think about getting the "material" for him from clothes at Goodwill. For example, if you buy some men's blue jeans, you could get many pairs of jeans for Pal without having to pay regular price for blue jean material. Just an idea (something my mother does when she made clothes for the girls when they were little).

I wanted to make Mickey something for the parks at night...and this is what I came up with...it's actually pretty easy to make - one of the headbands from Jiminees, two dowels with a screw through the headband to hold them on, and the lightups are actually sold at Party City - 2 for .99 and they are for bike tires...so a little hot glue on the dowel rod and they are securely on there! I covered the dowels with ribbons, but could have painted them also.

They are really cute, and only need a tap to turn on/off!

Way too cute Patty. and i notice his shirt too. DisGal520 friend made our pals a shirt just like that for the cruise this past Jan. Well the same pattern of material. next time you are on my personal photo album look for our Pals in those shirts <G>

I would have never thought of using dowels and blinkies for bikes. great job.

I bought the Dora artist outfit thinking perfect for when visiting Epcot and France in around the world.

Pal's new golfing outfit he decided today to wear it to MGM and be a Movie director. Has his megaphone and Take One whatever that thing is called. Minn is going as Ms Hollywood even has her own sash and crown. Of course Movie Pal is directing is called "Ms Hollywood" <G>

Will pics when visit MGM this month if not before.
