Pal Mickey (& Friends) Adventures & Fashions

i think that this thread is just about the coolest thing on the DIS! i just wish i'd found it sooner. however, i would like to make a suggestion. why don't you move this thread (and i don't know how you'd do that, but I know it's possible) to trip reports, or maybe even start a new board for it. it doesn't really seem to fit here...but that's just my opinon. where ever it is, keep updating me! i am so excited!

Hope everyone has a great Easter!

Patty & Mickey

OMG MrsPotatoHead, Mickey looks soooo cute. But I admit I am cracking up laughing. Hope the Easter Bunny brings Mickey a nice easter basket <G>

I feel so guilty that I did nothing for Pal or Minn in way of a easter basket. I am such a bad mom <G>

Mickey looks like he is getting impatient! What a cute outfit. I love it. His potato friends look like they could be the Easter Bunny! I can't wait to see what the bunny brings him tomorrow.

Happy Easter to all of you! Thanks for bringing joy to my days!

Becky, I love Mickey's polka dot shorts. Mickey & Stitch look like they were having fun on the beach again. We have snow on the ground again so Mickey doesn't want to go outside.

Those polka dot shorts have a top which goes to them as well. The set is probably 15 to 20 years old, it was for my Cabbage Patch Doll and my Mom made it. My brother also had a clown outfit that had that fabric in it. Both the shorts and top are big on Mickey, I need to alter them. Don't tell Mickey the shirt used to have embroidered flowers down the red strip which I removed. I think those Mickey buttons would look cute in there place, I just need to find them.

The shorts were tightened with a paper clip and the waist band is rolled down as Mickey was afraid he would drop his drawers. The waist is about two inches too big around and the top of the shorts would probably go to his shoulders. The shirt needs to be shortened as it currently looks like a dress on him. I think the shirt will look better untucked after it is shortened.

Should we go with the red stripe down the front or the back??:confused3 Or do you think the shirt is too girlie for Mickey?

Alterations probably won't occur for awhile, but I am looking for thoughts and opinions on how you think it should be changed.

Happy Easter

That picture with the sign about relaxing and slowing down is great!

I like the different looks with the red strip down the back and down the front. I don't think it is too girly at all. That's neat that one of your former stuffies is sharing with Mickey.

Becky,

Both of my local scrapbooks stoes were out of the buttons. But we found them still on the hangers at JoAnn Fabrics. I was going to check at Michaels but already had them so out of mind and I was out of my mind tired LOL

It's just a ring of adhesive on the back! I was picturing the whole back and thought it would be a pain to get off.

Can't wait to use them :) and Becky I think they'd look adorable going down the red strip.

Happy Easter!!!!

i like the one with red strips down too.

and that sign at the beach.... relax..... cute, but where was stitch?

Stitch was in PA when that picture was taken. My Mom and brother came down to Delaware to visit for the weekend and they had brought Stitch with, he was not there the entire time that Mickey was there with me.

Love the pics of Mickey at the beach! Especially the one with the taffy.....I love taffy....:yay:

My Mick had a good day...the bunny did indeed come and he is very happy tonight with his new boombox (which plays really well for 3.99!) and his new light up toy that he plans to take to WDW next month when we go. He's confused about the rubber duckies...but he can dream about bubble baths at least...and he had some help with his chocolate bunny today :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Of course, he kept his eye on the DIS boards all day to see what his friends were up to!

And with that, it's almost time for his favorite Sunday show...Desperate Housewives....and then to bed so he can get back to his duties tomorrow as my model for new clothes!

It started off with 4 Pal Mickey's travelin' with the families of the Creative DISigns (Disney Design Addicts) people on this forum. That is the reason that it is here. Their trips are winding down so we decided to change the focus to all Pal Mickey's adventures and fashions.

can't wait til your visit down here and we see more pics of his WDW adventures and outfits. :thumbsup2

I traveled to the Buffalo, NY area for Easter this year.

Here I am in my new bunny slippers.

On Saturday, we decorated Easter eggs. I was very careful not to get any dye on me.

Here I am with one of the Easter baskets that was out for decoration. There was a lot of candy around here!

Here I am with another decoration. You can see the kids pictures in the background, too.

I like this puzzle, because it reminds me of Spring. Unfortunately, it was a very cold Easter this year. This picture is about as close to Spring as I am going to get for a little while.

Ok, I have to get a pair of those bunny slippers. Patty & Beth, where did you get them? Patty, did you make the bunny ears using a headband or did the headband come that way? Nicky is jealous and definitely wants his own ears and slippers.

Vicki-

Bunny slippers came from babies dept of Target - if you can't find them, let me know and I'll look next time I'm there for you.

Yes, I ripped the ears off a regular bunny headband (dollar section from Target) and hot glued them to the American Girl headband from Jiminees. Worked great!

I have one more headband left and want to try to make light ups for the next WDW trip. Maybe too ambitious, though....

So I went to Hersheypark for Spring in the park. If you have read through this thread you will know I took Brooksie to Christmas Candylane at Hershey in December. It was busier and colder for Spring in the Park, than at Christmas time.:confused3 :confused3

All bundled up for the cold

Mickey decided it was too cold so he stayed in the car, actually I wished I had done the same:laughing: Stitch wished he had done the same, he spent most of the day hiding in my bag refusing to come out.

OMG they are both so cute in their jackets, mittens, scarf and hats. I don't blame Mickey staying in the car. Seems he was the smart one of the bunch <G>
