Painted Names

Is there a place to get names painted like I see they were doing for a special event in this blog post video?

I think they do something sort of like this in Fantasyland.... I'm not sure if it's exactly like the one in the video but they do some painted name stuff. I never stopped by but I always see it when I am in line for Matterhorn. It usually looks very girly and princess-y. Hopefully someone knows more info!

I watched those be painted this past weekend.
Those particular ones are ONLY for the lunar new year festival for last weekend and this coming weekend.
However across from the Matterhorn there is a place that they paint letters and full names.
One single letter in a boy or girl disney character is 15 and I want to say 30-40 for a full name. I have one in my room and I love it!

We have one which says Julia. Each letter is a princess. $40+tax. It's beautiful.

My FAVORITE Disney purchase.......we did our last name and had it matted and framed. We picked boy and girl characters, since there are 4 of us. LOVE IT.

DD6 has a long name, 9 letters, hopefully that will be ok.

Wondering if they can do the framing and matting there or if this something a person gets done somewhere else?

I had mine professionally framed at michaels. It was 125.00 i will try to post a pic tomorrow. I think they did do plain mats and frames though at DL

Our last name has 9 letters in it and we got it painted as a family Christmas present 2 years ago. With matting and framing (super important because the sizing is odd) and the extra charge for glitter (very tastefully added imho), it costs right around $100 if I remember correctly.

We thought long and hard about what we wanted as we wanted ours to be representative of our family and our Disney faves. We made a list of the characters, attractions and movies we hoped to have represented in it as we did NOT want purely princesses. Sadly, they are somewhat limited in what characters they are allowed to incorporate, but it still turned out great!

We have Ariel, Peter Pan, Belle, the Tiki Room birds, Alice & Cheshire Cat, Pumbaa & Timon, Jack Sparrow, a Pirate Ship, and Prince Charming in our painting. I specifically remember that Lilo & Stitch and Jack Skellington were not allowed.

Also, you should note that it takes quite a while for them to produce your painting as they are all custom and done by hand. I would recommend placing your order in early afternoon and making arrangements to pick it up towards the end of the day. But, make sure you find out what time they will be closing as they are typically not open until park closing time.

DD14s name has 7 letters in it, she's got one with Tink, DD11 has 4 letters, she has one with Cinderella. We got them at the stand across from the Matterhorn, they LOVE them!

I considered this a couple of weeks ago. The kiosk is right by the face painting, in front of the Matterhorn entrance, between there and Small World.

I liked the ones with the family names, but at $15 a name, it was going to be steep for my family of 7. I think I'll do our family name. Our name has 7 letters and I think she said it would be $70 with the saying we wanted on it.

We got ours done around Halloween time and we got our last name it is 7 letters and they did it with the villains. They were only allowed the villains during halloween time. With the mat and frame it was 108.

DD Got one when were were the in Sept 09. Her name is 9 letters too. I had glitter added and it framed and matted there as well. I think it was like $120 or something like that. But I think it was worth every penny! Someone said it does take a while and it does.. We came back later and picked it up but if I were to do it again I would have picked it up when I knew we were heading out for the day because then I had to carry it around with me all day. lol. I didn't have any problems on the airplane with it either. I just brought it with me as a carry on.
