Just give me a pack with Everest and a RotR Boarding Group and it will be worth it...as long as I have that pack all trip.

Huh?Ya know @ForWhomTheMouseTolls this thread exists to share thoughts and rumors on FP changes. Would be great if we could keep it open for that![]()
This sounds like a you know what nightmare! I can only pray that the coding doesn't fall into place and it causes serious delays in implementing this idea (if that's what it really turns out to be) and they just decide to bring out FP+ until they get it all worked out. Hopefully that puts it out past my trip and I'm able to use FP+ for my trip. This sounds like an entire bottle of acetaminophen during a vacation.
I think they were talking about your laughing emoji (since it was used on their post and several others) used especially after another poster talked about snark and being nice/diplomatic. Not completely sure that's what they meant but seemed like it (or something similar I suppose).Huh?
Complicated is good. THe more complicated it is the easier it is for dedicated disney park-goers to optimize and exploit. If Disney is dumb enough to make their system even more complicated and difficult to understand for the average park goer I say more power to them.Just read the article, god it sounds like complicated
Maybe I was just amused. It’s an emoji.I think they were talking about your laughing emoji (since it was used on their post and several others) used especially after another poster talked about snark and being nice/diplomatic. On this board it's used in 2 ways generally-snark/spite or actual laughing in a light-hearted way. I would be confused myself what would be amusing in their post because my initial reaction was snark too. They gave their opinion, brought up some points (I would have never thought about height restrictions honestly) so what would be amusing about that?Maybe I was just amused. It’s an emoji.
No one can make you do anything but a gentle nudge if you're being repeatedly called out for hitting the laughing emoji and you dislike it maybe retire that for a while at least. You can't make someone not comment about it and no one can make you not use it of course.I think me finding a post amusing is way less obtrusive to a thread I’ve been posting in for over a year than being called out repeatedly by name for hitting a button.
Granted I took a long break from this thread but I've been in it from the beginning (although length of time in this thread isn't a big issue to me). I was just meaning when posters start squabbling, being snarky for long enough, etc it can lead to issues. I enjoy conversation so personally if you find something you disagree with about my post by all means converse with me about it, but laughing at it yeah it comes across as snark, perhaps you didn't mean that and I read it wrong, that would be my bad.I think me finding a post amusing is way less obtrusive to a thread I’ve been posting in for over a year than being called out repeatedly by name for hitting a button.
Another issue with ride packs is a riders height. My daughter would be tall enough to ride BTMRR and splash but not space. She may be tall enough when we go in April though. For example if a Mountain pack existed the only ride out of it I would ride would be BTMRR. Space Mountain sets off my motion sickness these days (although DLR's version does not likely because you sit side by side instead of front to back) and Splash Mountain because you get wet most often is weather dependent, and mood dependent. My husband would ride BTMRR and Space Mountain and would ride Splash Mountain if I were to ride it.
Can some one message me the site that can't be named. I don't like not being in the know! One of the Disney fan sites I saw on Twitter is running an article that has details about the Genie systems and how they have heard the wishes could work. It is NOT the site that can't be named, but I also don't know if it's a credible site (or one that can be linked here) since I don't follow them regularly. Basically, they hit on several of the rumors many of us have been hearing (bundling, some paid and some free, etc), including that they are having trouble rolling Genie out and may need to use the old system first. I thought it was interesting more/more consistent information seems to be getting leaked, which may indicate we are getting closer.
I hope it comes out soon, so the experts on this board can learn all about it before my trip in March!Just read the article, god it sounds like complicated.
You're jumping to conclusions, I didn't say anyone was incompetent... Although there are some programmers that have no acumen for it.I just don’t like people trying to act like hard working employees are incompetent.
Yup that's why I mentioned the height restrictions and the value to families in my comment. You definitely wouldn't be alone in having a child tall enough that would be for a lot of families I honestly would imagine because of what WDW isAnother issue with ride packs is a riders height. Maybe a pack would just be one wish. So everyone gets one use on anything pass. Then maybe one wish for the mountain pack. Another wish for an individual ride, and a final wish on fireworks viewing. That wouldn’t be too bad.Any theories why Disney WOULDN'T bring FP+ back in the interim if Genie+ isn't working well right now? I guess thats what confuses me- what does it benefit them to not bring it back ya know? Maybe others have better insight!
As for Genie/wishes- I think it sounds kind of awful. A max of 3 purchased all day? That sucks, especially if we have ro stick to a pack. My kids are vastly different heights at almost 2 and almost 4. Maybe packs will be an option for a set $ and a custom pack will be more $. Like $30 for a pack or $40 pick your own YKWIM?
