Paid FP options coming soon to WDW?

I have two different trip spreadsheets going. One with us staying on-site and one with us staying off-site. Which one I go with depends solely on whether Disney allows FP+ back and if it is free or reduced cost.

I just can't convince myself to stay off site, so our trip is either go or don't go depending on FP and the details on how it's done. They won't just lose the resort fees with me, they lose it all. I don't begin to think my 6-8k trip will impact them, and that's not my reason for making the choice to not go.

I completely understand. Not bringing FP+ back either free or greatly reduced will determine if we ever go again ourselves. I have to book this coming up trip simply because of the Star Wars things. That is the sole reason for this trip. If they had never put that land in then I doubt I would have ever decided to go back after COVID. Not that COVID was the reason. It was more about cost.

how long u going for

6 days in WDW (3 Days in Clearwater Beach at the end.)

I'm more surprised you're able to estimate food and tips so precisely lol

We are pretty easy to please when it comes to food and we sat down as a group and looked at menus to decide what we would likely get at each place and then I tallied all of that and added $80 for each person extra for the trip just in case.

Do you consider off site completely off property? Or do the Disney Springs hotels count as still being on site? I know some people only look for Disney owned and operated hotels as on site. I don't know if they will keep the perks going but Disney Springs hotels get some of the same ones.

im coming from uk for 16 nights and the trip in dollars is about $12500🙄
Oh yes International can be very pricey :scared:

Are they still doing deals and packages exclusive for UK visitors? Or has that gone away with covid being around? I haven't kept up with that.

They do have some exclusive packages. They have one that includes dining credits now (not a full dining plan).

I've stayed at the DS hotels before, but usually as a first night. I'm afraid I've always been Disney owned and operated. I guess I just never anticipated a time when they'd stop every incentive to be on site. I lived with cut after cut in perks, but can't anymore. I'm still hopeful they'll do something but just hope it's soon.

My #1 perk for staying on site still remains (which I don't see changing any time in the near or semi-distant future at least), so it's still an easy decision for me.

well there giving us $850 in dining credits which can be used towards any meals and drinks etc plus a $200 gift card

we are going in May 2022 and travelling as 2 adults and two 13 month year olds and I am about $12500 in dollars in that im getting

- uk to Orlando flight. 4 seats as we have paid for the 13 month twins to have there seat each

- 14 nights at Caribbean beach and 14 day theme park tickets

- 2 nights at the Polynesian pool view

- discovery cove tickets

- all our spending which should be enough for one table service meal a day and one quick service plus a couple of cocktails each day and snacks and few hundred spending

-transport to and from airport

it’s a lot of money and taking a lot of saving. wether that’s a good deal or not I’m not to sure lol

Wow that airfare too 😟

Ignore that airfare. That is for First Class tickets so it is usually much cheaper. We are only doing this because my wife has never flown First Class and wants to do it at least once. Not to mention that I am 6'4" and my knees literally dig into the back of the coach seats and if the person in front of me reclines at all I am looking at some serious knee injures. First Class will give me an extra 6 or 7 inches of knee room. :)
