Ok, it has been a while since we did this and I'm wondering if anyone is interested in doing page trades again. For those who aren't sure what this is here are the basics. Patty, you organized these last time so if I've missed anything let me know. I'm happy to organize this time.
People interested sign up by sending me a PM with name and address (let's say by July 22nd)
I'll pair everyone up with a buddy - generally it isn't a direct swap so for instance if Patty and Cass and Maggie and I were doing this Patty and Cass wouldn't trade but Patty might get Cass's photos while Patty's went to Maggie, and so on. Addresses are exchanged via PMs. And the total list would be posted in this thread.
You send enough photos to the person doing your pages for a 2 page spread. Sending along a note on type of book (size & style) you use, if there is anything you are really opposed to (for instance I prefer NOT to have brads and eyelets unless they are "cushioned" a bit), how much space you'd like left for journalling perhaps, anything you'd like the other scrapper to know. It is a good idea to have back ups or negs of the photos you send just in case so this isn't where you send off those one of a kind heritage pics!
We set a time line for the pages to be done and returned - usually 4 to 6 weeks but no one is beaten if they miss the deadline.
The really cool thing is you then have some very different styles in your books and you get to see how others are doing things.
For instance, a couple trades ago I sent some photos of DD & her choir at a Christmas choir concert. I NEVER would have thought of tearing out part of the paper in the center of the page and inserting a wide ribbon behind the edges and it is awesome! Or doing a layout on DD's first perm using a geometric cbe/prism design again VERY cool!
So whose interested?
