Because we are flying and using DME for our budget trip, I am really hoping to pack everything we will need and not need to buy anything. So besides half of her wardrobe, what else do I need to pack for DD (she'll be 19 months)?

We just got back w our 2 year old. You'll need wipes, diapers, sunblock, special lovey to sleep w/, snacky type foods, cups, spoons and forks (the disney ones were too big for my son) I always bring a thermometer and motrin just in case. Anything she eats that she can't live with out for my son it used to be applesauce. Some little new toys to amuse her in lines. I honestly don't know what the weather in Florida is like in Decemeber but if you'll be swimming you'll need swim diapers. A rain cover for the stroller. We brought a portable dvd player and my son watched a movie when we got dressed in the mornings. Either a wipe clean bib or disposables. I think thats all I can think of. You are going to have a great time!

We went with our 2 year old in May. We packed:

Diapers- 1 whole jumbo pack of regular, 15 nightime diapers
Wipes- 2 travel packs- 1 for room, 1 for bag
Baby Shampoo
Sunblock
1 outfit for each day, plus 2 spares. Only had to use 1 of the spares due to leakage
Disposable bibs
Take N Toss cups and "silverware" sets. I put them in a ziploc with a bib, so all I had to do was grab a pack when we got ready to leave. I did bring them back, but if they got forgotten at a restuarant, no big deal
Snacks- cheese/peanut butter crackers, Kix, Cheerios
A couple juice boxes- I took way too many, because we gave him water throughout the day, and milk at meals
Bagels- DS ate his "bagel-donut" while we were getting ready in the mornings.
Blankie/Pacifier for bedtime
2 pairs pjs
Stroller
Little bag of stuff to do on plane- DS slept through both flights, but need just in case!
Thermometer/children's tylenol/motrin

I really wanted to pack light at the parks, so I just put what I needed each day in the bag. We packed it at night before we went to bed, usually just refilling diapers and meal stuff. I took an older Nike messenger bag and left it on the stroller while we were on rides. There wasn't anything valuable in it, so it would just be a little bit of an inconvenience if it got taken.

oh, make sure you take a few outlet covers for the room- Disney rooms are not childproofed. I just tried to cover the ones that were in his reach. If you get a pack n play or crib from Disney, they do have sheets, so you don't need to pack those.

Warm hat and gloves and jacket. It can get very cold.

Pack layers and be ready for any temps!

All the daily standards: wipes, diapers, food, bibs (the disposable ones are a God-send on trips), clothes (don't forget something warm), shoes, socks, sunscreen, blanket/toy, tylenol/ibuprofen, allergy meds, portable changing pads (again, disposable ones are great), utensils/bowls, dish soap, rash cream, toiletries (you can get Johnson and Johnson travel packs), sippy cups, snacks (we took 100 calorie packs, mandarin orange cups, and nutri-grain bars). Have you checked the ultimate packing list on allears.net???

I know you said you didn't want to buy anything there... but if you order your diapers, wipes, sunscreen etc. from Garden Grocer and have it there when you arrive- you won't have to have room to pack any of that!
Especially with baggage fees now- it's cheaper to pay the grocery delivery fee- (it may be nothing depending on what you spend).
You can also plan on doing laundry one evening after she's in bed.

Glad you asked!

We just switched our vaca from September to December - so we'll be taking an 18 month old in December!

Disposable bibs! What a great idea!!

I'm also bringing my Maya Wrap for when / if she gets tired and clingy, and her "monkey harness" for when she insists on walking herself - so she can't run off!

I'm glad she likes her stroller, too.... This will be the first time I've brought a baby to DW!

I could have not made it through our trip w/o the disposable bibs and changing pads!

They were light-weight and we didn't have to worry about lugging around dirty bibs. Plus, for the environmentally friendly, ours were biodegradable (found them at the local Meijer 20 for $4.99). Public bathrooms gross me out so the changing pads were a must. Found those at KMart (I think they were by Sassy). We took one package of wipes, but used one of the portable containers for the parks and reloaded as needed.

I think you'll find that she's going to be super easy to care for in the park.

Have a great trip!
