I have never, as a child or adult, used the DDP. When I was young, my parents packed cereal, bowls, and spoons. Each morning, we would stop at the cafeteria and pick up cartons of milk. We then ate in our room and took off for the bus stop. This made the mornings move very smoothly, and allowed us to not have to be in too much of a rush to be at the parks for opening. Not only did it save time, but it also saved us a great deal of money.
DH and I also brought cereal for our honeymoon to give us some extra time in the morning. With the coffee pots in the rooms at POFQ, we were able to just be together and chill out for a bit before rushing off to the parks for opening.
We did take one morning to go to Kona Cafe, but other than that breakfast was our $$$$ saver!
It really allowed us to spend a bit more for a more romantic, relaxed dinner within our budget.
Just thought I'd share this tip with everyone. I hope someone else finds it useful!
