Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but I was wondering if it is possible or worthwhile to add a package to a DVC stay? More specifically, I am an AP holder because we go to Disney a couple times a year. When I initially bought them it was definitely the best deal to have. Even though we stay in a 1 or 2 BR with the full kitchen, my family and I like to go out to eat. We will have breakfast in the room and store beverages but mostly eat out for the rest of the day. Now with the different packages Disney is offering (much less expensive tickets and reasonable dining), I'm wondering if it would make more sense to just add a package in the future if possible.

Most of the current packages available at WDW resorts are available when reserving thru CRO. Package elements cannot be purchased for "room only" reservations. Currently, there are no dining packages available for DVC point reservations made thru MS.

If you have an AP, you might consider purchasing the Disney Dining Experience (DDE) card now available to AP holders as well as FL residents. There is information about that program on the DVC Community Board. It will get you a 20% discount on meals (including beverages) at most WDW restaurants.
