Owner's Lockers New DIS Deal

Gee, Christopher, haven't you heard that famous saying that goes, "a deal is in the eye of the beholder" or something like that?

We tried to be very careful in structuring the two deals so that they would be VERY different. And I think they are. Some people may like one while other people prefer the other. Perhaps we have run them too close together. But when you're working with different sites, not everything is completely in your control.

We're in this business for the long run and don't want anyone to feel they have been treated unfairly and I'm sorry if we stressed you out!

John

Yes, John, you're right - and my wording wasn't exactly what I wanted to say - no caffeine yet this morning when I posted, I'm sorry - but I would like to be able to switch to this better deal if possible! FWIW...I have talked up your service a lot already, without even using it yet!!!

This is a nice deal. You all should jump on it :) If I needed another locker, I would :)

Great, John, thanks! I just signed up. I have another question for anyone. I am doing a split stay. Do I just have the bell people transfer the owners locker from AKV to BWV?

Pennykay, yes just have bell services handle it along with your other luggage. Just remember to notify OL to pick up from the second resort at the end of your stay.

This is an Awesome deal for an Awesome service!!

Time for Locker #2!

If we're one of the beta testers, can we sign up now to continue the service and get the free 2 pickups per year for life offer, too?

Thanks John,
With the airlines all starting to charge for the second bag, I had been giving serious thought to OL but was kind of sitting on the fence.
You knocked me right off this morning!:)

Hi MaryAnn,
Whichever deal you have, your Locker will be waiting for you for your upcoming trip....now for your delivery questions. We try to have all Lockers delivered by 11:00 the morning you arrive. And we pick Lockers up in the afternoon that you check out--usually between 3:00 and 6:00. If you're checking in early or staying late, we ask that you tell us in the special notes section where you schedule your Visit and we'll make sure we follow your wishes. Sorry I'm slow in answering this...just had a call from someone at Stormalong Bay who needed a Locker NOW. We aim to please!!
John

With the 2 free drop offs a year I am now interested in this service. I have a couple questions:

1. When I check out of my resort, do I leave the tote with luggage services for OL to pick up? Or do I have to be there when you pick it up? Sometimes we have very early flights.

2. Will luggage services have the tote when I check in (which is alway afternoon or evening)?

3. Am I billed once a year for this service? Or is it an autocharge to my CC or how it that handled?

4. Can we cancel at anytime (we for some crazy reason we get tired of Florida---you never know):goodvibes

Thanks,
DJ

I signed up a few days ago using the other promotion, but I'd love to switch to the DIS offer. John--you're great to do this! Thanks! :woohoo:

westjones,

Thanks for your questions.

1. Just drop your Locker off at bell services (or have them come get it--those babies can get heavy!!). They'll know what to do with it. They usually keep all of the Lockers together for when we swing by to pick them up. No, you don't have to be there.

2. We deliver Lockers to bell services in the morning you arrive. You will get a text to your cell phone when it is actually delivered and when you check in, the front desk staff will notify you that your Locker is there.

3. All of our charges are automatic. You give us your credit card when you sign up. You are charged your Membership Fee 30 days before you arrive for your first Visit. When you check out and your Locker comes into our warehouse for the first time, we call this your Anniversary Date and your credit card is charged for your Annual Plan. And then, each year on your Anniversary Date, you are charged for an additional year.....unless.....

4......you decide to Cancel your Membership which you can do at any time. Things change.

I hope I've answered your questions.

John

New question....

OK, if I come to orlando and go to a Disney resort and THEN go on the Disney Cruise and then come back to that resort after the cruise. Will the Disney resort store my Owners Locker while I am gone and then I can get it again when I am back........

or can I use my two delivies from OL in that one week (drop off at resort, and then pick up when I go on cruise, and then drop off again when I am back).

I 'hope' I can do the first one, so it is only one delivery, but if I can't it would be good know know I could do the second. We usually come in on Saturday, leave on Sunday for the 4 night cruise, get off on Thursday and then leave on Saturday again (and there is a LOT of stuff that I would love to just leave in Orlando that we take on the cruise).

Thanks,
DJ

Hmm - I'm actually not 100% sure which deal I like better.

Keep in mind- I promised hubby no more than 1 Disney visit per year, umm but that doesn't include Vero beach or cruises... to my mind anyway. ;)

The DIS offer definitely will make sure AP passholders are covered as far as getting 2 visits out of 1 pass over different calendar years, a concern I had voiced to John previously.

I'll have to have a sit down w/ Tim, but I too am leaning toward the DIS offer. John, it's very kind of you to let us switch if we desire! It may actually change how we visit my family in Tampa - fly into MCO instead - collect our locker and drive on over....:goodvibes

OTOH hubby will now be scared about multiple Disney visits per year!:rotfl:

Thank you again for all you guys do over at Owner's locker~

Michelle

I guess I wish the old Mousesavers offer of champagne and glasses hadn't tipped the scale for me. Two visits per year would be perfect.

Suggestion- take the locker with you on the cruise. We did, it had stuff in it that we needed. That worked well.

OK, so John - if we sign up for this super deal NOW, we will get an email to confirm the 2nd free delivery. And am I interpreting this right (so I can explain it to to DH) - nothing is payable NOW if we're going down in July? For now, we're just signing up. Then 30 days before we go we have to schedule our delivery and we will be charged the $45 once a lifetime discounted membership fee, right? Then when we check out we will be charged the $99 annual fee. Then in July 2009 we will again be charged the $99 annual fee automatically and nothing inbetween?! Then that just happens every July? And should we get the chance to go down again between now and next year we get one more "free" roundtrip service? But actually, with this deal the 2nd delivery is free forever - as long as we keep up with our annual membership? I am assuming this $99 fee is subject to change (increase) over the years? Also, there's no restriction on storing alcohol? I could pack away a jug of Captain Morgan and nobody will care?!:woohoo:

Thanks! Just want to be sure I can explain it right to DH!! The 2nd free delivery really has me interested! (I don't suppose you've ever thought about the idea of letting folks "bank" their 2nd delivery into the next year if they only make it down once a year?!):goodvibes

We usually go once per year but find this deal appealing. If our vacations are offset by a few weeks, we would be needing 2 deliveries in one year. That would be the case this year we are going in April but next year in Feb.

:thumbsup2

I understand that you will be billed 30 days prior to your arrival. If you cancel your trip 24 hours prior to check in, can we cancel delivery of OL also and not get billed?(hoping you can use that visit for another time)
