Owners Locker

I have considered an owners locker, but it seems like with the limited deliveries, it wouldnt work well with split stays am I right?

Owner's Locker offers a few plans, they have a plan with unlimited deliveries.

Bell Services will transfer your owner's locker between resorts for a split stay.

When you schedule your owner's locker delivery and pick up, you choose the resort for each. So having them pick up the owner's locker from a different resort than they dropped it off at is very easy.

They also will deliver/pickup from non-Disney hotels and resorts too which is handy. We did a split stay with friends once at one of the Vistana resorts and had them pick it up there when we left.

Yep, when we had the owner's locker we stayed at a resort on I-Drive and it was no problem to schedule delivery and pickup there.

Yep, we’ve used it elsewhere too. I think the Universal Studios resort hotels might be the exception. The Owners Locker website lists the ones they go to.

When y'all first got your locker, did you just do a big order from Walmart/Target to deliver to the resort, or did you slowly take down items to leave. Same for keeping up with toiletries that expire, I assume people are ordering for delivery on site.

I'm trying to figure out what I actually want to leave in FL vs needing for other trips and at home. I don't want to duplicate *everything*, like rain coats, umbrellas, second set of shoes, etc. but those are also some of the most annoying what-if items to travel with each time.

For some unknown reason, I had trouble using the zip-ties that were provided by Owner's Locker. I bought some zip-ties at my local Dollar Tree and shipped them to a hotel when I was shipping a box of stuff to myself. I find that they work better for me.

I have yet to find anything that I want to keep in an owner's locker. I just pack what I need and maybe get a grocery delivery upon arrival and I'm good. I know some have much longer stays and I can see the utility there.

For those who fly, it’s a game changer—when we took out our toiletries, our luggage was nearly 10 pounds lighter. We keep in it things we never need at home: ponchos, filtered water bottles, personal fans, Mickey ears, clothes we typically only wear at Disney, plus wet wipes, laundry detergent, chargers and cords, batteries, ziplock bags, charging bricks, extra pair of glasses, sunglasses.

It makes packing soooo much easier when you don't need to remember 90% of the stuff you generally forget. We pack clothes and that's it.

I don't think we did a purpose-built order. We just stocked it with things we were pretty sure we'd often need. For example, we keep a set of ponchos, plus a set of towels for the water parks. When the kids were litlte, there were a couple of light-up spinnners in there. We keep a small set of basic OTC meds, and those do get refreshed as they expire. I also keep good sunscreen there, and those expiration dates are also tracked. I don't worry about expirations for toiletries for the most part. For example, we have a full-sized set of H2O+ Sea Salt/Sea Marine toiletries from probably ten years ago that I pull out if I am staying offsite. The scents have faded a little, but they are still there.

Same I like to dress differently for different trips so I wouldnt keep clothes and I feel like medicines and other stuff would expire and ive been trying to think of a need for this for us, but I just dont see any compelling ones.

I also think its probably better for people who dont split stay as much. I thought maybe a christmas tree and lights, but I think itd be cheaper to just buy cheap ones from Walmart every time we do this rather than keep an annual subscription. I know some people love OL and im glad they have it in case I ever see a need for the future!

Now if I ever become a holiday cfw person (I can totally see this happening 😆, we love holidays and decorating) I would def purchase for my cabin decorations!

Sometimes I think to try OL but the benefits never seem to outweigh needing to orchestrate another thing.

Things that could be useful: slippers and pool shoes for us all, a little first aid kit, sunscreen, ponchos/umbrella, and a few other things.

But we already have our methods to fly that include luggage, we rent a car, and have amazon prime. It’s nice OL offers a trial. I always end up saying maybe we’ll try it next year.

During our last few trips, they have been including regular zip ties also, not just the numbered ones they typically have.
