Overwitten photo files?

I ran a recovery program and I think it found the pictures I was missing. The only problem is that is says the files are overwritten. Can I still get these off the memory card or are they lost?

If the data itself is overwritten, you won't be able to retrieve the photos. Sorry... The filenames themselves are stored elsewhere, so finding the filename is no guarantee of finding the file.
