My son and I just returned from our trip..Thank you for all the posts they really helped.
The facts..stayed at Double tree universal..$79.00 a night..the room was quiet and fine...view of Hogwarts..spent very little time in the room..
Walk to Universal or take a taxi..we took taxi $5 or $6 each way..worth it!!
Went WWOHP Wednesday the 10th just as it opened..very short line for FJ. Crowds increased but not bad. The wait for Olivanders 1 hour for a very short wand presentation..luckily my son was chosen..it was the highlight. The HP vibe is great..we loved it..butter beer a hit..no on the pumpkin juice.
Flight of the Hippogrif a hit. I would definately do the castle tour of FJ..the ride made me nauseated and I was glad to have that option.Wonderful time
Day 2..Magic Kingdom..Mears shuttle $36.00 round trip. 1 1/2 hour ride with various stops but punctual. Magic Kingdom Veterans Day fantastic..fast pass great..Skipped Mickeys Merry Christmas but saw all the decorations and saw the castle light up from afar. Love Disney..all rides..short lines..
Day 3 back to Harry Potter..explored other island but not great for the money. Stayed with IOA and went on all rides..Harry Potter was packed Friday..70min wait time and very,very packed..happy we had gone on the Wednesday before. I am happy to answer any questions..dont forget AAA discount..I kept forgetting to pull ou the card!!!!!
