Which songs get played to death at events like weddings and school dances?

YMCA
Macerana
Wind beneath my wings
Peanut butter jelly song

macerana ( Im sure I spelled that wrong)

I hate Shout... it makes my knees hurt when you get to the "little bit softer now" part..... bleeech

Hokey Pokey
Celebration
We Are Family
Wind Beneath My Wings

Can I just say this? Please people, if you don't want to make your guests to regurgitate the buffet dinner, DON'T choose Wind Beneath My Wings as your "first dance" or your "mother dance" or "father dance" - it's really lost it's power over the years. ;)

No cowboys in these parts, and they still play it at every wedding here.

I'm a closet Cotton Eye Joe fan though. Don't tell. ;)

It's probably not overplayed at most functions, but in my family over the years, THE MUST PLAY song is "New York, New York". :rotfl: (No, we're not from NY. I don't know how that came to be)

what is the "Peanut Butter and Jelly" song???

Hot Hot Hot (the song where you are supposed to make a conga line and go around the room)

Disco Inferno

I Will Survive

I Love You More Today Than Yesterday

Oh yeah... that song was popular in the mid-nineties. Once again, proving that the 90's were a decade of musical hell.
