Glad you love it! I can not say enough about mine too. IMO just the right size. It is not a tiny bag, holds exactly what I need....but so comfortable to wear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully, Overland raves will start grow on this board. It is definitely a great traveling bag, and it is great to offer people other options than the Baggalini.

I got mine last night!! It's MUCH heavier fabric than the Baggallini was (almost has a canvas feel to it). The only thing that I wish it had is a zipper on that pocket in the back. But other than that I LOVE it!! I'll try to figure out how to post pictures for you all!! I have a feeling that I'll be using this everyday (maybe I should order another one!?!)

Hmmm, no zipper on inside pocket? Well, I read before that older bags don't even have that inside pocket so I guess that a slight improvement.

Do you think it would be hard to get someone to put a zipper on? That might be something I'd consider.

There's a pocket on the back of the bag that doesn't have a zipper, and a pocket on the inside of the bag that doesn't have a zipper. There is a zipper on the top of the bag, and there's also a zipper on the small pocket in the section under the flap.

As for adding a zipper, I don't know. It's pretty heavy canvas, so it might not be too easy. It might be easier to add a strip of velcro??

Anyone else get theirs or expecting it this week as well? I noticed a lot of people just purchased them this last week.

Well, it's definitely heavier, but I'm not sure if it'll make that much of a difference or not. It holds 2 water bottles, where the Baggallini only held one, so that would definitely make it heavier for me, 'cause I plan on it holding the 2 bottles (me & DS). It seems more organized, though - the Baggallini didn't have an inside pocket. I checked ebags.com and they said that the Baggallini Messenger was 1 lb., and the Overland Donner was 1 lb, 8 oz. Hope that helps!

Here are a few pics of the black Donner. The fabric is very durable; like a quality (ie:Eastpack) backpack, if that helps. Since the bag is all black, it is a bit difficult to see the details. Oh & I stuck it on my postage scale...it weighs about 15oz.

Inside the main part of the zip bag. There is a small, non-closing pouch on the inside.

Front of bag. Two water bottles in place.

Once front flap is open, this is what you see.

Back of bag. Has flat pouch for documents, etc.

Thanks so much for posting pictures. I didn't realize it had a back pocket like that. I have a spill proof cup that I take everywhere (I call it my sippy cup) and I hope it fits in the side. If not, that will be a downfall for me because I just take my cup everywhere.

Oh, I just love the black so it will go with anything.

I didn't realize there was a solid black bag. I thought that the black bag had a white daisy lining?

It did if you purchased it on the REI website. I didn't care for the daisy lining. That's just not me...

Through shoebuy.com and ebags.com, they both had it in solid black. I was so glad they had that option. I'm always wearing my black jeans. I ended up purchasing it through ebags. I didn't know about shoebuy.com till the day after I ordered it. I still got $10 off using google checkout so I can't complain.

For reference, a 6"x9" notebook w/ 100 sheets fits easily in the Donner back pouch. The top of the notebook sticks out about 1 1/2". I'd say the back pouch is 6 1/2" x 8 1/4". The notebook I used for reference could have been a bit thicker & still worked.

Give me something common that is about the size of your camera & I will happily stick it in the bag & see how it works. I just have a normal digital cam so I'm not sure how big you're talking.

I tried putting this box in there for reference. It measures 7"x6"x3.5"deep & fits easily in the main compartment.

I bought the Baggallini last year, used it one day at WDW and it was too small. Is this bag just a little bit bigger? Ideally I'd like to fit autograph books, couple of snacks, camera, phone, and water bottles. Not to mention the maps fo the park, tickets, etc. I'm ready to click purchase, I just want to make sure it's a little bigger than the Baggallini. One more question, does anyone know what color 'slate' really is?
